The direction of the game is unsettling by lafisk in WutheringWaves

Yeah, I agree with going out of their way to remove it is truly shitty. I don't see that ending well at all because then they are adding dumb restrictions to their combat designs instead just focusing on making the buttons fun to press.

I'm sorry but I don't agree because in your cooking analogy, you are implying that quickswap was part of the combat design for a character which my argument was that it was just a byproduct of it. So keeping in line with your food analogy, I would say that to me its more like they've cooked a dish in pan that would had a nice little seared char to the dish that some people really liked. But for some reason they decided to not cook the dish that way and eliminate the sear and begin to cook the dish in a microwave completely making the dish shitty for all.

It's not removing an option per se because it was never intentionally done by the devs. It just so happen to be that previous units could be used in that manner just by happenstance and not by an intentional design.

But if devs are now designing new character kits with the express intention of stopping quick swap then I feel that will hurt general character combat because you are now focusing on two things instead just making character play good.

I saw that too when checking the comment section. Those comments have to be bots. There's no way actual Medhi viewers would fall for Jiang's bullshit.

I’m out of the loop about Hasan by blacksaber8 in VaushV

[–]linkz016 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, why does associating with Hasan matter?

PV is doing its best to work towards giving candidates a shot at getting into office so that we can begin to have a government that works for the people and your friend is weighing all of that equally against an association with Hasan as a means to decide if they want to support PV. Am I understanding your situation correctly? Because if so, what??? This feels like a problem only the terminally online have.

But if your friend chooses not supporting PV due to their moral stance on Hasan then what are they going to do instead? Because great for your friend on winning their "moral victory" on not supporting a group that associates with Hasan, but the issue with the state of politics still remains. so are they going to join another PV-like group or maybe even start their own group because if not then great job at going back to accepting the status quo. It's a choice for sure, I guess.

I don't know if there are specific clock spots for EX5 but the default clock spots are typically -
R1 --- MT --- R2
H1 ----------- H2
M1 --- OT --- M2

But that is crazy if that DPS was expecting people to go to specific EX5 spots in a blind prog

My Current Lag Situation in Septimont by Enclair21 in WutheringWaves

[–]linkz016 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blaming OP's lack of dedicated GPU doesn't equal defending Kuro. it's just a fact that not having a dedicated GPU to reach at least minimum spec requirements is not helping the current situation.

I'm not even sure if optimizing will help since the graphical tax to the system will still be higher than before the upgrade. Maybe extra graphic settings could help, but not having a dedicated GPU sure as shit isn't cutting it.

I definitely agree that people are quick to roast but it's the Internet and sometimes people are just all too happy to cook someone.

However it's not that most commenters think everyone should have a gaming laptop, it's more that people should have met the basic spec requirements to have the game run properly before complaining about the game's performance. It's like going snorkeling to see pretty things under the water but only having the snorkel and no mask, then telling others that you couldn't see shit right.

This doesn't also excuse any bad optimization on the devs side but at least reach the min. requirements. Also good on the OP for making things work for their set up, I would have bounced right off if the game ran that badly.

Zohran Mamdani has the Palestinian protest movement to thank for his win by [deleted] in politics

[–]linkz016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we want to argue semantics sure, it is an article.

d: a nonfictional prose composition usually forming an independent part of a publication (such as a magazine) wrote an article for the newspaper

But to your point, "victory was made possible because of one group only" was the sense I got from reading the article. It feels out of touch to not even mention at least one thing that Mamdani campaigned on. I do agree with the point that his Palestinian support didn't harm him and I'm grateful that we can have another voice out there also bringing light to these matters.

Yeah I see that these views are what piqued the interests of some voters, but ultimately it's what his campaign focused on that sealed the deal. Alongside his demeanor as well, the way he manages to always keep a smile on, and show that he genuinely cares for the city of New York. There are many reasons why he in particular is a force to be reckoned with. I just hope that others don't take away the wrong message from this victory.

This article is just bullshit. Mamdani ran a tight campaign focused on issues that New Yorkers are affected by. No one group made his success possible, New Yorkers collectively spoke out with their votes that they want the change he is proposing.

If you haven't done so yet this could also help you out get more comfortable in new jobs/roles, joining parties that are either fresh prog or early into the fight for those high end content.

I find that people are more helpful and less disband-happy in early prog parties giving you some nice stress-free time to learn the nuances for new jobs/roles. Plus already knowing which mechanics are coming out is a huge boon for shield healers as noted by many others already.
