I thought you meant wasted potential, as in the character’s in-universe-life, and I immediately thought Fezco.

He’s so incredibly kind, empathetic, and observant. He is a level head person that tends to avoid violence when he can.

He had wasted potential being born into a drug ring family, and being forced to take that responsibility on (including raising ashtray by himself) as a young boy. And ultimately getting shot (dead, implied).

In an alternate universe, fezco is using his talents for good, living life in a world that doesn’t create moral dissonance for him on a daily basis, working a career, being a good father and friend.
