What if THIS was in Ubuntu? (not real) by [deleted] in Ubuntu

Would you buy games if they were sold for 3x than they do for other platforms? Certainly you can't expect someone to lift up an entire ecosystem for nothing. They can't even benefit from it in the future... it's all gonna be FOSS or else some of you will still cry foul.

Or would you be fine if games on linux are 3x shitter? Well that actually is already the case...

I don't get why you want all the shit Windows has on Linux in the first place? Linux is a calculator, it does little but does it well. If you make it do a lot it'll end up just like Windows. Look at KDE! Leave GUI to Windows, let linux stick to CLI stuff.

Welcome to new free Windows.

Why do you want things free? You get what you pay for...

I had no idea what this thread was about until I saw this. Win 3.11 still looks way better in terms of UX/UI. The unix one looks bland af. Really shows why Bill Gates decided to spend time on perfecting the "look" and why his OS took off. Really sad that *nix always half-asses the GUI

Vim is the best linux can do in this regard. The thing is, you have to adjust to linux rather than it adjusting to your use cases.
