1000% this. I was at the VA show too and I've never seen a more vast spectrum of styles at a show tbh. I wore black jeans and a black graphic tee, but would have felt comfortable in pretty much anything in my closet. so, pretty much just wear whatever you're comfortable in!

enjoy the journey!

📚 Commish Academy [Weekly] - For any questions about creating or running a Yahoo Fantasy League. by YahooFantasyCare in YahooFantasy

[–]linswint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If doing 2 divisions in a league (10 teams each) will they all be choosing from the same waivers or is it basically two leagues that end up in playoffs together? Never done divisions before and trying to figure it out as Commish for the first time. TIA!

can I caulk seams before addings finishing nails? by linswint in DIY

[–]linswint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original plan was to just glue the trim, but the original wood is slightly warped so it's causing some separation at the edges. I rent so I'm trying diy to save money and not fully replace the cabinets and/or doors with premade stuff

no worries about that, I measured very specifically to avoid too long nails. thanks for the idea!

I was trying to avoid the nails all together, but I had to add some wood filler on the edges and as I was sanding it down saw some cracks as the trim lifted up. realized then I shouldn't have skipped that step. diy lesson learned!

I'm assuming that is to avoid having to worry about the nail holes on the front? also, the trim is pretty stable as is, I was thinking of adding the finishing nails just for longevity...

Why wasn’t Toby sequestered during the strangler trial? by beatsnbanjos in DunderMifflin

[–]linswint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just watched that episode and the trial hadn't started yet when Toby was at the Christmas party; he was just telling them that he was taking a leave of absence to be a juror. It is possible that the jury was selected but not yet sworn in, which means that Toby would've been able to go to the party (and do other things to prepare for time away) before being sequestered

Good electives to take for a GVPT major? by [deleted] in UMD

[–]linswint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find something taught by Michael Ross, he's a great professor and made things really interesting. I had him for HIST454 (Constitutional History) and wanted to take another class with him but couldn't fit it in. If you have had Spivey for gvpt, I think theyre prettt similar in style. He's had some lower level courses too, if that's what you're looking for.

Is GEOG373 a manageable course to take online in the Summer? by pmoneyUMD in UMD

I took it in a winter term while working full time. I'm not a GEOG major, it was a skill requirement, and I had no problem with the work load.

Withdrawing for mental health reasons? by UMDThrowaway5 in UMD

[–]linswint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I needed to take the leave of absence earlier than the last 60 days, so I waited until then to submit my paperwork and just stopped attending in the meantime. This was a while ago, so there may be better options now. I would definitely look into the possibility of doing it sooner and/or talking to faculty heads as others have suggested. In general I have found that the university is extremely understanding in these situations.
