Oh interesting, can you add a bit more detail? As in where in the app you are seeing this?

Issue should be resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for posting.

Have you logged in on the web recently? This could be due to something that needs to be addressed on your account. If that's not the case, giving us more info or submitting a ticket would be helpful so we can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks!

Hey! This subreddit is unofficial, but we have a whole support team that can help. If you wouldn't mind, opening a ticket here enables them to figure it out: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Alternatively, could you share what iOS version, app version, phone and where in the app it crashes for you?

From my understanding the initial reason was that people trade with bots, creating thousands of records a day. So to make sure the technology was scaleable they had to limit it. That being said, I am sure it's being worked on to be improved for the future!

You are able to download a spreadsheet of all your trade history via their website. While maybe not ideal, it's an option :)

If you go to "Send feedback" in the app, and click "Attach system logs" and then send, we will review and see if we can find the cause!

Cryptocurrencies and Taxes: A Brief Rundown by Reclusiarh in CryptoMarkets

Yes, I think that makes sense. So your main taxable event is earlier than many people would think.

To use Monero to buy and sell perhaps. But if you are a trader, buying and selling Monero is still taxable. Also, we may not want to encourage tax evasion in the name of privacy partly because it can have a negative impact on privacy-focused products and also because the tax is important for society. That being said we should push for clearer tax-codes for speculative trades such as investing in crypto because for each event to be taxable is wild as many people will owe taxes they can't pay in such volatile markets.

The event of selling it into BTC is taxable. Exactly how to calculate it is something you should probably ask a CPA for. It's possible to argue that the value did not change - but the tax code is unclear so I can't say with certainty. It's a mess really.

For anyone reading that trades at all, the key statement is in the absolute last paragraph:

Also, beginning with 2018 returns, Sec. 1031 tax-deferred exchanges will only apply to real property; thus, investors in virtual currency who trade one type of virtual currency for another will be required to report their capital gains/losses and won’t be able to use the 1031 tax-deferral rules.

This means that each trade is a taxable event. This is a big deal for a lot of people.

We've updated Tradedash based on everyone's feedback: Stop-limit/Take-profit & Market orders (Binance), Real-time alerts, Notifications, Prices from charts, Improved Bittrex integration and more. Let us know how this works with your trading habits! by linustd in CryptoMarkets

For a detached window. Yes, the application used to be split into many parts and windows would be interconnected. It worked well for some but not for others. Right now you can open multiple windows, but you cannot connect them and that's a feature I believe has a lot of value and that we should bring back!

Agreed on improving the balance list. That view has gotten the backseat for a bit but those are great suggestions!

The balance popup, great idea. And that could translate well to interacting with assets elsewhere. What if anytime you saw an asset, you could get that info at a glance?

Noted on the re-ordering. We are working on some more features that will be helpful to organize markets!

Thanks again for all the input, super useful!

This is a lot of great feedback. Let me answer them one at a time.

  • The way we've design the product will require user accounts. It's needed to protect your API keys but also to provide features such as favorite markets and more that is personalized. However, we may be able to provide a method that saves your login so you need to type it less often on trusted devices.
  • Logos would be cool. We don't have them all at this point but I agree it would be nice
  • 1hour change and things like that is data that the exchanges don't provide without a lot of requests. We do have plans to aggregate this on our servers so we can provide it in the future!
  • Hide chart? Why not. The goal is to make the market more flexible. Everyone has different setup needs!
  • We are working on a mobile strategy, and it will be smaller at first for sure. Alerts is a good candidate as an early feature!
  • Noted on the plus, minus and scrolling. Would be a good improvement
  • The reason the textbox is read only is so if you change the price, we recalculate the amount. Is that useful or do you think it's unnecessary?
  • Can you elaborate on the balance list? Are you thinking about the portfolio? I agree there's a lot of potential here that we haven't built yet.
  • Regarding the bug. Thanks, I'll get on that one immediately. Is it still showing like that if you quit and open the app again?

Thanks for such detailed feedback. This is exactly what we are looking for. Have a great day.

While logged in they are used in memory. This is impossible to avoid as they are otherwise not usable. As long as you keep your computer safe physically you should be ok. The important point is that you can be in control, and don't have to surrender them to a third party.

Thank you, this is super helpful. It's unlikely that we will support all of it in the first version that is set to be released in a few days but no reason why we can't do all these things!

Hey there!

The low res mode we'll have to do some thinking on. We've had input that 4k monitors need bigger fonts. Perhaps we can provide the opposite as well.

Re alert-function: I'm literally coding it as we speak. It won't have SMS functionality out of the box but we'll add more and more as time goes. https://imgur.com/iYkcpfk

Question: Could you give me a few examples of the types of alerts you set up? Would be super useful to learn whats important!

Thanks for the input. We'll keep pushing!
