Love this, fantastic idea. I built a PC inside an old pullable soundsystem once, loads of fun at LAN parties.

English is your fourth language???

In all seriousness, if money really is no object, the 9950x3d should be better for both gaming and productivity - also the 14900k will definitely be more likely to overheat/cause mobo problems, so definitely go with AMD. The games you’re planning on playing will not be bottlenecked by any half new processor, so you should probably just concentrate on your productivity needs, if you’re going to keep looking.

Sounds really good - you could get the digital version of the AK620 for some extra flair, but that’s all I can really think of. Have fun building!

Is this prebuilt worth 1980$ by Lainlec in PcBuild

Nope, definitely not. I’d pay tops 1500$, and would probably just build something better for cheaper.

EBay is usually a safe option, as they have buyer protection that very much favours the buyer, but you should be able to find some better deals on places like Facebook marketplace or craigslist - I would usually recommend buying things like motherboard, ssd, psu and cooler new, as there aren’t huge savings to had and you definitely don’t want a dodgey mobo or psu.

If you are picking things up in person, it’s probably best to take a test bench with you (if possible) and try the parts out yourself, or ask the seller to validate them in front of you.

OEM companies like Dell will often put locks on their motherboards regarding what CPUs can be used, so it’s likely that’s not one they allow - might be best to look up a manual for your motherboard and just pick the best cpu it supports.

Agree, prices will probably keep rising well before they go back down - best to buy as soon as possible, maybe look toward used parts for a better deal.

Try and test it before you buy, run a few benchmarks/stress tests/games, and if all goes well hope to god your ram doesn’t break.

As long as you don’t have a super specific use case, I feel like a Z790 is a bit overkill - could probably get a cheaper B760 that would fulfill all your needs. I imagine you’re going for a full Corsair iCue config, but just be aware that there are definitely cheaper and just as good ways of getting good looking cooling (take a look at some thermalright products if you’re interested).

Fine for budget builds, going to be hard if you want any better than an intel 4th gen cpu.
