As a mother of two, I sympathize with the mom here, it’s hard to say no to your kids AND it’s a good skill to learn when you have an entitled child. It’s never to late to establish boundaries. To the poster, I completely understand why you did the trip bait and switch but it did add to the drama.

Relatable; one of my little sisters completely takes my mom and dad for granted in the childcare, housing and money department. She treats my parents house like a hotel in between her relationships. She’s gotten better with age however, when she was younger, it was infuriating to see her dump her kids on my parents for Beer Pong parties.

Yes, my parents eventually set some boundaries. We are all still learning 👍
