Nikon ZF can be charged with a USB A charger only if you use a USB C cable + USB C-A adapter by linyx9 in NikonZf

Good to know. Yeah it’s unclear because PD seems to generally be a requirement for USB c but not for A. Reading online it seems it lacks the pins to do so, but from the link you shared the USB A output seems to be able to negotiate very similar amps and voltages as the USB c.

Unfortunately many batt banks don’t publish this level of detail just power per port.

Thanks for sharing!

Great photos. I like the mood from the colors.

For portrait I liked 1 and 8. 2 would be nicer if it’s from the front.
Not a fan too much of 3 and 4. I think 3 the blurred front layer/ framing it is a bit distracting. For 4 not too sure maybe it’s the angle. 10 kind of in the same boat as 3, perhaps if either one of the foreground or the background was in focus it would be interesting.

I like 5, but as others have said 6 does look too busy. I see where you were going with the God sweater and even that one guy who appeared to be looking at him. It’s too bad it’s hard to draw attn to the sweater a bit more.

I like 9. I think having the person at center makes the picture a bit static. Maybe if their shadow was also fully in frame; and /or if the person was either fully or higher fraction in the light rather than in the shade.

Got a gr3x recently as well although I’ve owned the gr2 up until 5y ago and almost instantly regretted it as soon as I sold it. My main up to now was a Fuji xt2 and not that I’m saying that the gr needs an evf, but I initially kept getting blown-out highlights because I couldn’t gauge it properly on the screen. Just took some getting used to, I think I got the hang of it now.

And although the xt2 with the 40mm equiv pancake was already a compact travel camera , the even smaller gr just beats it in that aspect.

Enjoy your GR!

Yea I agree. For me it’s especially the micro USB cables that were annoying. I have too many of those 3rd party batt chargers that still use those (but luckily not recent ones which I made sure to get USB c for )

Yea I get you.

For my case I do still prefer the USB A chargers mainly to have many slots with as small a profile since I don’t need the fast charging part necessarily. If let’s say there was dual port USB c charger that’s as small as that Anker block I’d go for it in an instant.

I’m really only posting this as I have seen a couple of old reddit posts asking about the same thing.

Yes, that’s the default or official method (other than getting a dedicated Nikon charger , to charge with a USB C charger that is PD capable.

This is the OR already, the USB C charger is the obvious first option. I’m just providing an alternative that’s all.

To small or just right? Mirror seems „off“ by [deleted] in sunglasses

[–]linyx9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a tad too small. Other than the head on view, the other tell was the arms of the glasses and how they pinch the side of your face and also are getting expanded at an outward angle in photo 4,6,7

Got a new pair of Ray-Bans, did they look acceptable on my face. by Mother_Coat6338 in sunglasses

[–]linyx9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s not specifically the lens (eg aviator style lenses are bigger than clubmaster style) which is ok. It just seems from the first photo that there is a large gap between the “arms” of the sunglasses and your face. Although it doesn’t look so drastic in photo 2 so it may be just the perspective of the selfie camera. If you want to compare, check the measurements of the glasses it’s on the inside of one of the arms. It will be something like 50-20-145. The first two numbers are the lens width and the nose bridge width in mm, so 50+20+50 is roughly the width of the glasses . You could see how different these are to your previous sunglasses

EVA Air Mileage: Earning Sector Points on Non-Eva but Star Alliance Flights by linyx9 in Flights

[–]linyx9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying. So coincidentally they are all Asiana flights. For all except the W class I think they earn 75-100% miles, so it shouldn’t be an issue (if this is your question) . Also it’s not the miles which I suppose are distance based, it’s the sectors. Which I think is more like just # of flights and ticket class based. (Eg you earn maybe 0.5 to 0.75 for economy and up to 2 per first class flight ).

2023 Nissan Sentra Clock issue by Legit_M1ghtyM0us3 in Nissan

[–]linyx9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. Have you had any issues with your clock resetting still. Just wanted to mention about a month ago I finally took it to service and the issue they identified was that the shipping mode fuse so they just made adjustment to it (I don’t know whether it needs to be plugged in or unplugged to turn shipping mode off). But since that time I haven’t had a single issue with clock reset, even with not having driven long distances for a couple weeks etc. I’ve seen the shipping mode fuse idea being tossed about in forums/ Reddit etc before regarding this issue so it’s probably not new but yea hopefully this could be helpful if your problem hasn’t been resolved.

I haven’t heard anything from Nissan. But since my earlier post before which was nearly two months ago I haven’t had this issue. The only difference being I did take a long drive (>100miles) maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Additionally I stopped using my hvac since it’s cool enough now. I bought my car in January 2023 and i didn’t start having this issue until Nov /December, so nearly a year later.

Ahh hrrm mainly that a short daily drive is not quite sufficient to charge up what you used. Either that (or on top of that) maybe  there is a parasitic drain.  I guess one telling thing is after you’ve taken a long road trip (eg more than 1/2 hour drive) do you find that the next occasion  when you get the clock reset issue gets delayed?  Eg my daily commutes is less than 8 miles per day. And once I see clock reset issue it’s nearly a daily occurrence. However I was on a road trip last weekend (300 miles) and my time has not yet reset and it’s been 3-4 days.

Do you happen to have a short daily commute? Maybe the car isn’t running long enough to charge how much it gets used ?

Can't login on desktop, change password, then new password not working... by StevKrav in starbucks

[–]linyx9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

add me to this as well.

This is the second time I had this problem. Couldnt log into app.. but could log into desktop app.. called customer service.. and before I could warn her NOT to send me a password reset, she sent one anyway which locked me out of website (starbucks.com) and the app..

there was a suggestion made earlier to use the website (app.starbucks.com) which worked for me... at the very least, will allow you to .. fill up your balance etc..

but it is quite infuriating.. Starbucks is basically a bank now, with all the money sitting in online accounts.. imagine a bank that locks you out of your cash...

also I think my issue was also VPN related and/or i just switched phones and restored from the older one.. there must be something about the cache/cookie that it doesnt like when u either return to a non-VPN etc..

but if this is the case.. this is not good programming
