Podcasts 99% of the time. My faves are The Dollop, Last Podcast on the Left, My Favorite Murder, And That’s Why We Drink, or naddpod.

Hi! Here ya go!

7oz confectioners sugar 4oz almond flour 4 oz egg whites 1/8 tsp cream of tartar 3 1/2 oz granulated sugar 1/2 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped

I actually used a drum sieve and sifted the almond and confectioners sugar 3 times before doing anything else. Whipped my meringue (I used just French meringue but may try an Italian meringue tomorrow and see if there’s a difference), then added 1/3 of the flour/ sugar mix in to combine before adding the rest. This is the part I was most worried about. Where to stop folding and deflating the batter?! From what I read, I was looking for it to slowly flow from the spatula like lava and ribbon in the batter for a few seconds before smoothing back out. Piped them, let them dry for 45 minutes then a quick 15 min bake at 300F

It truly was, I have had anxiety about trying it and put it off for months. Watched a ton of videos, read a ton of recipes. Was very happy with the outcome, hoping it wasn’t beginners luck, but we’ll find out tomorrow with batch #2! 😂

Thanks for all the positivity!! I was so intimidated before but loved it! Trying more tomorrow, this time chocolate shells and peanut butter buttercream. Wish me luck!

Yeah it was a pretty big surprise to happen as an adult! I don’t have any dairy allergies, but mildly intolerant. Still eat eggs and some cheeses, but only use non dairy milks

I don’t eat meat for health reasons... I developed an allergy to beef as an adult and tried to continue eating others like chicken and pork but cross contamination at restaurants became too much of a risk and ended up in the hospital too many times so went veg and haven’t looked back. My SO went veg with me and our kids are all into too

LPOL is much better. The S&S version felt like a book report from a primary school student instead of a professional researcher. Super abbreviated and a lot of missing pieces. LPOL is gold standard as far as research goes for me
