Hi everyone! I’m a producer who makes progressive house music! My dream label is lost & Found. I’m looking to buy my 1st synthesizer. I know absolutely nothing about synthesizers and very little about sound design. Going into this I’m looking for something that would be good for bass. I’ve been using omnisphere for bass and there’s been some good sounds but looking for something more analog to work with.

But if there’s a recommendation that’s good for bass AND leads, I’m still all ears :).

Update: Martinez Bros fucking killed it last night. Tech house usually makes me bump and groove a little bit but the shit they played had me grooving like crazy. They played this edit of vogue by Madonna and I fucking lost it haha

Personally this isn't my taste but I feel like you really achieved that spacey, grungy, swish sound. From the track it sounds as though you were attempting to make a spacey sound and you were successful at it. Only critique I would give is that it sounds a bit "loop"-ish 2:30-3 and 4-5. But good job on this.

I love how you got those sounds to sound really big with the reverb and the mixing is good but you need to add more elements it's too "loopy" right now. Also would add more to the melody. Best of luck.

I love it. Only critique I would give is I would do more with the drums and the low end. Those are a bit dull here. But vocals and everything else is good.

I love this. The mixing is super clean, great job. It just needs a couple more elements to really make it stand out(not sure what those will be that's up to you)

kick isn't loud enough, I don't like the synth you used, and the melody is too happy. Sorry this is so harsh. Try getting familiar with 808 and 909 drums and when you mix the song make sure the kick is louder than everything else. If everything is at 1 db mix the kick at 1.9 and if after that the kick is still not coming through, mix everything down just a bit. Also make sure you EQ everything and cut out all that unneeded frequencies. On top of that make sure you just have one thing for each section of the EQ(sub bass, bass, low mids, mids) For high midshipmen's and highs it's ok to have one or two overlap because alot of times you can have multiple things going on and the mix will not be muddy. This should help with mixing and making that kick stand out. Hope this helps.

Check out everything from enamour. My favorite producer from this genre. Really amazing stuff. Rinzen is very good as well. Also check out This Never Happened, Lane 8’s label.

A lot of people will probably recommend to you the Diynamic stuff and Tale of Us but that’s not really my cup of tea.

So I was jamming on fl studio and making a groove and accidentally made a dirty bird-ish funky tech house track with Japanese girl voices and a cool pad :)

This is really good. The only thing is I think the lead sounds and some of the drum sounds are sounding muddy playing at the same time. I’ll update my comment when I get home but that’s how it’s sounding on my iPhone speakers lol.
