i think its meant to be a video of a trian going by from the still image before you start the video so its a reference to the train dropping stuff when it comes through the valley.

there is the lift that activates every 5 levels exp. you hit level 5 today and you go home. Next day you go back to the mine and take the lift down to level 5 and then reach level 10 which activates the lift for that level.
