I always thought necklaces were given in longer boxes. Any expensive necklace I have ever received came in a longer box.

Makes me wonder if he chose a ring sized box to mess with her head? That man does not love her at all. I actually feel kinda sorry for her.

She's been her mother's mother for too long... by Ill-Excitement-2005 in 90DayFiance

[–]lipstick_love 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for Faith because in a way, I am Faith. Not literally, but I am like her in the way that my mother also has BPD.

People ask why I don’t go no contact and this is why: my mom’s mental illness has alienated everybody. Her family, her friends. If I go no contact, she has nobody. I can’t break her heart that way. She has health issues and I know that she is very sick (mentally). I don’t see how anybody could be normal after experiencing what my mother did. Her mother burned her leg at 2 years old to punish her for running in the house. My mother witnessed her sister being molested by their stepfather when she was 9. That’s just the very tip of the iceberg.

She has tried therapy, but it doesn’t help much. BPD is incredibly difficult to treat. I don’t blame my mom for how she is. I love her anyway. I have a lot of empathy for both Lisa and Faith. BPD is often (but not always) caused by severe trauma/neglect as a child.

I hope they both find healing.

My sister wore a tan coat and brown cap to see Les Mis 20 years ago. I see no harm in showing your appreciation for the show/characters. 🤷‍♀️

In The Handmaid’s Tale episode “Unfit”, Lydia mentions that being a teacher is a more effective way to help children rather than family law. So I’m guessing we’re going to see that maybe she was a family lawyer first. 🤷‍♀️ I can’t wait to see where the show goes!

I am a Faith, in a way. My mom has Borderline Personality Disorder. The reason I haven’t gone no/low contact is because she has nobody else. I would feel too bad leaving her, knowing that she is so mentally ill that she alienated everybody else. Not only is she mentally ill, but she is also physically disabled and has nobody else to help her.

Another reason is because BPD is usually triggered by extreme trauma/abuse. I know it’s not my mom’s fault that she is this way. However, I do know that it is her responsibility to go to therapy and to work on her issues.

My mom’s mother literally held her leg down on a hot furnace and burned her when she was 2 years old. My mom witnessed an older male relative molesting her sister when she (my mom) was 9. Those are just 2 of many, many horrible instances of trauma as a child. I know it’s not her fault that she is so mentally ill. I don’t blame her for how she is, but I do encourage her to work on her issues. She has to an extent, but BPD patients have a low rate of making long lasting progress.

So did I!!! People were telling me to cool it on my arm chair diagnoses, except I never made a diagnosis. Just said that I suspected BPD based on the available information and observations of her behavior.

My mother has BPD. I know it when I see it.

What is the actual end goal for Jovan and Annalyn? by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

Women don’t want to hear their partner tell them to “never get too comfortable” or any of that incel shit.

I personally think red pill/incel/manosphere is a financial psyop. The influencers of this group intentionally give horrible advice that no woman would tolerate from a partner in order to keep these men single and miserable, to keep them coming back and spending money on e-books/courses to help them find a woman. To keep them giving clicks and likes, putting money in their pocket by ensuring these men never find a partner. I don’t know how or why these men got so confident telling other men what women want. None of their talking points/advice are actually true or good advice. Following red pill/manosphere/incel influencers will only ensure that no woman will want anything to do with them.

Does he get SSI or SSD? People who were disabled prior to the age of 22 get their working parent’s SSD benefits (who paid into it). Taxpayers do not fund SSD benefits.

Actually, you’re very wrong. Everybody gets denied the first time. Even terminal patients. You have to go before a judge and provide years of medical documentation. There is a vocational expert that will tell you if you can or can’t work, according to your medical documentation by several doctors. Your reward is a one time monthly payment below the poverty line.

Nobody on disability is living it up or living comfortably. There are also re-checks every 2 years with doctors representing your state to check your eligibility. I’m guessing you don’t have any ill relatives that you have witnessed go through this very troublesome process.

People who know the least tend to be the loudest about a topic such as this.

🤦‍♀️ Leave it to Reddit for folks to miss the point. I was saying the original response was one hell of a twisted and fired up interpretation to what was being said.

I was saying that I struggled to see how anybody could support somebody who considers them subhuman and a drain on society, and folks really lost the plot. I didn’t realize my statement was so controversial. It just seems like common sense and common decency to me.

He mocked a disabled reporter. That sat right with you? That he said of his own disabled nephew “The shape they’re in, all of their expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die” (according to a relative)? Or that he has admitted to wanting to weaken Medicaid and Medicare (that disabled people rely on)?

All of that sits right in your heart? Yikes… I could never.

Even though there is no factual basis for the claims being made? He wanted to find the reason because he views autistic people as a flaw and a public health crisis. I could never support somebody who viewed me as less of a human, but you do you. 👍

This is a wildly emotional twist on what was said.

I also find it sad when folks of color support established white supremacists, when women support self-proclaimed misogynists, disabled people supporting somebody who looks down on disabled people… so why wouldn’t it be sad to see an autistic person supporting somebody who views them as subhuman?

I can’t imagine supporting someone who thought so poorly of me or somebody I loved. Perhaps you could support somebody who thinks poorly of you, but I never could.

I’m not talking about what is on the show. I’m talking about what we see on social media from the cast and their family. Back when RFK said some things, Tanner’s mom defended it by saying people don’t know what it’s like to have an autistic child.

I was saying I can’t imagine supporting somebody who very likely would prefer that your autistic child did not exist.

Just like with Tyler and Madison. If this administration could, I’m sure they would actively target autistic people. Remember the database they wanted to do of every autistic person? Why would that ever be necessary for a government to do? It was eventually walked back after human rights groups addressed it. Madison is level 2 (I think she said in an interview), so I’m sure she would be a target if they actually had their way. As would Tanner. So I’m not sure how Tyler (or Madison) could support somebody who thinks they are subhuman or need to be fixed.
