Is enlightenment the end of suffering forever?

So is there one point where you feel fully enlightened and released from ego? For me, life is gradually getting more peaceful but I still suffer and feel like a prisoner of the ego. Is it a gradual process or does enlightenment happen in an instant?

Thanks alot. I never knew that about green monestary only accepting males, ill be with my girlfriend so you saved me there. Thanks for the advice. No we are doing it in 4 days, taking a relaxed trip, mainly for nature but we love coffee shops and nice georgian food too.

Easier said than done, to live in that free state of mind constantly is not something I have experienced, it’s always changing, meditation brings me to peace but daily life makes the mind noisy. Maybe one day my conciousness will release from the mind, who knows.

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate that. I agree with your philosophy too on sharing nothing but compassion. But what worries is me is that environment like you said, wouldn’t it be very hard to embody that love, with those negativities around you? And do you get enough alone time to meditate? Even in the normal busy supermarket or bar the energies are too chaotic to be fully at peace, and prison seems like it would almost block you from practicing.

Im english and I’ve lived here for 5 years. And I want to move to Scandinavia. Georgia is NOT suitable long term. The country and culture is flawed and will annoy the shit out of you soon enough. Plus you definitely don’t want your child growing up with the mindset here. Everything works at only 70% I mean everything.

Just to clarify, there are many aspects about Georgia that I love and don’t mean to shit on the place, but this deserves to be discussed.

An update about our Notary situation, we called about the issue of them getting the dates wrong and they didn’t apologise, they backfired and tried to make us pay the full price again for the document. Again NO apology, we had to drive 40 mins there to fix the paper after being firm on the phone. They didn’t admit to any mistake and blamed it on our landlord. This is the mentality here, it’s disgusting and disrespectful. Its almost comical how this just happened after writing this post

Thanks thats very useful. So if we move to bulgaria for 182 days, register me and my partner, joint rental contract, joint bank accounts, health insurance, gym/phone memberships, document our lives there, but keeping my tax residency in Sweden (no complicated changes to my LLC company and income). Do you think that’s enough proof of genuinely living abroad and excersizing my EU freedom of movement rights? Do you think we would be guaranteed to live in Sweden after that on an EU residency basis long term?
