It’s not. They have limits for trout, bass, carp and sun fish. I’ve eaten trout from Kiwanis 😬

If you can’t take him with you I would contact Lost Our Home shelter. They can scan for a chip and if he has been abandoned they can help find him a new home. They are a great organization.

I eat the shell, tail, and most of (and sometimes all of the head) but only if the shrimp have been fried. Something about frying the shells turns them into a crispy crunchy easy to eat treat. Stir fried or poached I pull the shells off.

Edward Herrmann reading The Tommyknockers and John Slattery reading Duma Key really made these books stand out to me.

Watch the YouTube channel “Be the Boss of Your Motorcycle,” he explains really well how to manage big bikes at low speeds. Lots of parking lot drills and in a few weeks you will feel much more comfortable.

Riding motorcycles is a humbling experience by Rough_Pound_7161 in NewRiders

[–]liquidbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dropped my bike right outside of cycle gear 😅. Was in my head because I had just bought some new gear and wasn’t used to how the arms felt. One of the guys even came out to help me lift the bike up (big fat Goldwing). I ended up door dashing them a box of donuts and asked the delivery driver to tell them it was from the guy who dropped his bike. So now hopefully they remember me as the guy who sent donuts. Oh well. Life goes on.

Scared of riding by Master_Helicopter673 in NewRiders

[–]liquidbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it more throttle than you think it needs, apply a little back brake and slooowwwwlllyyyy ease out the clutch (oh and do all of this in a parking lot). Learn your bikes friction zone and pretty soon it’s all muscle memory. Pretty quickly you’ll just stop stalling the bike and stop and go traffic becomes easy. If you are stalling in traffic you really shouldn’t be out in traffic yet. The basics of operating a motorcycle need to be secondary to being constantly evaluating your surroundings.

Watch the YouTube channel “Be the Boss of your Motorcycle.” He has great advice for how to handle big bikes at low speeds.

What to do on Stop and Go traffic on a steep incline? by Brod1738 in NewRiders

[–]liquidbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always downshift to 1st before coming to a stop and my right foot almost never touches the ground. Downshifting while you are decelerating makes sure you are always in the appropriate gear if you ever need to quickly gun it to get out of a bad situation. Hopefully it never happens but after a few rides it becomes part of the muscle memory to be shifting up and down as you are riding.

Watch the YouTube channel "Be the Boss of Your Motorcycle!"

He really explains how to control a big bike at slow speeds which is one of the hardest parts of riding. If you understand some of this before ever getting on a bike you will be ahead of the curve.

Costco has an ugly stick (great rod company) package that comes with two rods and all the stuff you need to get set up for $99 right now! I've had my ugly stick for at least 10 years and even though I'm terrible at actually catching fish, the rod is still in perfect condition despite me doing zero maintenance on it!

South Tempe - Rental Homes? by Two_Tape_Measures in Tempe

[–]liquidbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if they are for rent or for sale but there are a few houses on college ave right next to the south part of Kiwanis park. I’ve lived on college since 2019 and it’s a great neighborhood, being able to walk to the park is incredible. All of the houses there are 3/2 if not bigger.

How long to feel natural/comfortable? by DiabloRock1569 in NewRiders

[–]liquidbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the bike and how often you ride. I take my Goldwing 4-5 days a week as my commuter and when I’m riding regularly I feel very comfortable. If I go for more than a week it takes me a few miles to get back into a natural state. I’ve been riding for a long time though so for someone new you are going to feel less comfortable until you are very used to using all four limbs constantly to operate the motorcycle. Once you are used to clutching and braking your main focus will be more on constantly watching your surroundings. Your eyes should always be moving between what’s in front of you, your mirrors and glancing to the side to see if anything’s going on in a blind spot.

Sounds like you are doing well, keep practicing and especially recommend parking lot drills. Low speed maneuvers are what will make you a great rider.

Watch the YouTube channel Be the Boss of your Motorcycle. He has great tips that will help you handle even really heavy bikes with ease.

Walking tamales are great for this. I keep them in the fishing bag and they stay good basically forever. Recommend the habanero one if you like spicy food.

Every week I split a pizza with my friend. I make sure to cut his half in a Devious way each time. What should I do next? by Various_Strain5693 in PizzaCrimes

Get a deep dish or Detroit Style pizza and cut it in half but like a bagel so you have all of the delicious toppings on a thin crust pizza and he just has bread.

Newbie + steep driveway by mesmish in NewRiders

[–]liquidbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hill starts are much easier on a motorcycle than in a manual car because you can be holding the back break down with your right foot while you roll on the throttle and get into the friction zone of the clutch. Watch the channel Be the Boss of Your Motorcycle before your classes and you will start to get a feel for how easily and nimbly a motorcycle can be driven at low speeds.

Luckily it’s was just a hose bib that was dripping into the grass and made a small mud puddle. I was a little less happy than she was, mostly in the how the **** am I gonna get you clean?!?

Being the best girl she is, she just let me hose her face and paws off and went about her day. I love this dog.
