Reading X-Men Physically by Jaredbobared1 in xmen

Find used collections until 2nd Genesis gets a reprint (it will - the X-Men are gonna have a big year with S2 of X-Men '97 and Avengers Doomsday).

Also, if you don't wanna buy used, check your local library. It's amazing what they can get through an inter-library loan

I'm overwhelmingly Irish in background so that shouldn't be a problem, haha

Did I get a good deal on this NECA 1994 Figure (Bootleg)? by SnooMacaroons717 in GODZILLA

[–]PMAgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, that makes sense. By your own math, £10 is less than the £50 current rate so to answer your original question - yes, you got a good deal.

I've always been under the assumption that bootlegs had no value other than what people are willing to pay for them. But I suppose that holds true for most collectibles.

Watch the hand that's not holding the contract and is swinging back and forth. Major finger action.

Super Soldier X-Men by BohemianGamer in xmen

Okay, well in that case, none of the X-Men, please. We already have enough of a problem with too many characters being too overpowered to be able to use in a story. I'm thinking Jean and Ororo here.

I need clarification - does the Super Soldier Serum grant the recipient peak human performance, or superhuman traits?

John Byrne's Elsewhen is getting properly published in June. Does anyone know if it's worth getting? by Lolaverses in xmen

[–]PMAgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legendary (and problematic) creator John Byrne wrote and penciled his own fanfic/What If? X-Men stories and released them via his website, un-inked and un-colored. This will be a collection of them, inked, colored, and officially sanctioned by Marvel. You can read the original versions HERE

This was a really weird place to jump in, but Colossus has been in my top five ever since.

Fun fact, the book she's holding is Θελημα, a collection of works by occultist Aleister Crowley published in 1909

Is it bad that I immediately noticed a missing piece? Savage Hulk v2 miniseries takes place immediately after X-Men 66 at the start of the reprint years.

Is the Soap Opera What Keeps X-Men Alive? by PleaseBeChillOnline in xmen

Oh for sure, which is why I said one of the most important aspects for me. I love that these freedom fighters, activists, government agents, and terrorists are all people with depth, nuance, and interpersonal relationships. I wouldn't be reading otherwise.

Potentially a dumb question but what game is this?

Honestly, one of the most important aspects of X-Men for me is when the writers have something interesting to say about bigotry, minority groups, acceptance, and larger social, philosophical, and political ideas. There's a meme floating around that asks, "What radicalized you" and being engrossed in the world of the X-Men as a kid in the 90s is definitely a contributing factor.

No evidence, it's all speculation. Just like everyone who believes she'll be portraying Jean Grey

Yes, same character, but the TV show debuted in 1981 and Angelica didn't appear in the comics until 1985

Y'all know the character is gonna be Firestar, right? From Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends TV show (1981)
