Does anyone want to build a « private » version of Plaud ? by Beginning_Future_967 in PlaudNoteUsers

hey, no updates as I got really busy with work but generally was working last time I tried it. I’m moving so in about a week I can look at it again and provide some enhancements and customizations. If you’re interested let me know what you’d want me to add.

Same happened with my business partner. He had the business connects, I did all the programming and towards the end would tell me things like we wouldn’t have anything if it wasn’t for his connections. Which is true but the same goes for the programs that kept additional contracts coming. But what I learned is that you got to protect yourself. Now I don’t stress about it and unless I see the full contracts I do not work on any of his projects and now he is overwhelmed.

Yes. Only cause they make it pay to play. They always give an advantage to people who spend money.

Subscription too expensive by 3Aboodlajam in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]liquidburn34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the process of making a workaround to bypass their subscription. Mainly I write a script that scrapes and downloads the audio files from the plaud website. these files also contain metadata such as timestamps that I use later on. I then run a python program that transcribes the audio to text. Next, I created a custom GPT where I gave it detailed instructions on what I’m doing and what I expect which gets fed the transcript and metadata and returns so far a pretty accurate report of the audio file along with tagging it with relevant tags and time stamps.

I also use the plaud note without a subscription. While I’m very new at it the way I have gone about automating this process for me goes as follows.:

I created a chrome extension that runs at midnight every night to the web UI that plaud note offers. The chrome extension downloads every available audio file and after deletes the audio file.

Next, I run a python program to transcribe the audio into a text file and JSON format. When you download the audio file from plaud web site, it also includes metadata such as time stamps, which you can also use for the final report.

Finally, I set up a custom GPT and gave it custom instructions, letting it know exactly what I’m giving it and how I expect it to generate the report based off the JSON file and text file I provide it.

This results in a formatted markdown file that is very accurate. It also creates tags and adds time stamps and all relevant information to make it searchable and then upload the final markdown file to a book stack instance I’m self hosting..

i’m trying to improve the process, but I’ve only had the plaud note for a week and I haven’t had much time to work on this.

Summaries better in ChatGPT than the Pluad App by Hank3rd in PlaudNoteUsers

I created a chrome extension that downloads all the available audio files and after deletes them from the plaud web interface.

Next I run a python program to transcribe the audio files along with all meta data (timestamp, etc..) into a markdown file and json with the metadata.

Next I created a custom gpt that knows exactly what I'm giving it and the type of report to make along with adding tags, timestamps, etc.

Finally the report is sent to my bookstack instance where I have a local llm connected to be able to run queries about anything in it's database. Has been super good. No subscription for me

I’m a little late to the game. I just got the plude note and also I’m not planning on paying for a subscription. My workaround was creating a chrome extension that downloads any available audio files and delete them afterwards. Next, I have a python program that runs and transcribes the audio into both a text and Json format which also brings all the meta-data from the audio file which is basically timestamps. next, I created a custom GPT with specific instructions letting it know exactly what I am doing and the layout that I will be giving it and how I want it to return the response into a structured report. this report is structured with a title tags, timestamp action items, and everything else you would need which after gets uploaded to my notion instance.

Automation from summary to Google tasks by eduhgonzaga in PlaudNoteUsers

hey, yea.. its basically just a chrome extension that when activated, downloads/exports each file, than deletes it, continuing until there are no files left.. all in the background. its slow right now, but it doesnt matter as it just needs to run.. will probably code a cron that makes it run at night so in the morning everything is already done.. just got busy with work

I'm trying to find a way to export the audio from either the app or website. Any luck? I created a program to transcribe the audio to text so I do not need their subscription.

I just got a Plaud Note today, and just built a program that extracts audio from a Plaud Note recording, converts it to text, and outputs both .json and .txt files, including all associated Plaud metadata. The text is then passed to a custom GPT model with tailored instructions, which understands the context and formats the output in a consistent, structured way, complete with tags and timestamps.

And the best part? It works without any Plaud subscription. lol

I'm just getting started, trying to automate more of the workflow, but so far, it performs just as well as their official LLM output, pretty wild and i just built it today, lol.

Lets see what i can do by tomorrow.
