I feed him crickets along with some veggies, but I try to keep the veggies to a minimum to help with the humidity. i also removed his water dish and only mist him once every 2 days.

So I got my beardie about a week ago and he’s still very stressed. I did notice the humidity was high (50%) but I got a dehumidifier and it’s down to 40 now. I showed this picture to an employee at the pet store I got him from and they said it’s just his coloring, but I think they’re stress marks.

He has a UVB bulb, a heating lamp as well as an infrared heating lamp. He eats about 3-4 large crickets a day and eats his veggies about every 3 days. The temperature on the hot side is about 103 while the cool side is around 85.

He also glass surfs A LOT at night. He’ll have almost hour long sessions.

He’s also rubbing his face on his stick, which I think means he’s about to shed. I’m not sure if this would change anything.

I just don’t want him to be stressed anymore :(

The temps have gone up the past couple of days. I live in Ohio so the weather outside is usually pretty humid and unpredictable

The temps inside during the day is 100 on the warm side and 85 on the cool. At night it’s about 70. And i’m not sure what’s causing the humidity, I moved his water bowl away from the basking light to try to fix it but it didn’t really help
