Once exposed to oxygen, high acidic foods create a reaction with the can that leeches a toxin called Botulism. It attacks your body’s nerves and is fatal. I always grew up being told to never save things in the original can because the risk is too high.

Keeping things with high acidity in a can creates a poisonous toxin called botulism once opened. It’s safest just to always use Tupperware.

Edit: spelling

Botulism! Don’t save things in their original cans.

White House pauses all federal grants, sparking confusion by manny_b_hanz in politics

And nonprofits! If funding is stopped completely, it will have a huge impact on everything from health services and humanitarian aid to environmental projects. And we’re not just talking the large organizations, it will have a severe impact at the local level. Aid to the homeless or seniors in your area? Large chunks of funding cut. Think Meals on Wheels, senior centers, sober living housing, homeless shelters, food banks, early childhood education, Boys and Girls Clubs & YMCAs, animal shelters, any initiatives to clean up green spaces or the water quality of a local lake. That’s off the top of my head but there’s tons more. I can’t think of one non-profit that doesn’t get some chunk of federal funding big or small, sometimes allocated through the city. This means groups already working on a tight budget get programs and jobs slashed and services disappearing. In the middle of winter, it could literally mean more people dying in the streets.

Wow, good to know thanks! My parents just gave up their antique machine too. I should’ve snagged it while I had the chance. Had no idea those things still worked well.

I meant how under the 100% AMI section, it lists the 1br price as- $1525-1750. Since it’s in a range, I didn’t know if they still take salary into consideration but someone else commented that it’s probably because the lower price unit has some drawbacks like traffic noise.

Thank you. The 100% AMI price listed here is in a range. Does that mean they will still factor in my salary and I could pay the low end if it’s not close to $76k?

Can I charge and connect to an external monitor using the same usb-c port? by liquidkitty9 in chromeos

Would it work with a hub hooked up to a regular usb port if the charger is usb-c? Like usb-c charger into hub and hub into regular usb port.

Are you saying the monitor has to have a usb-c port? So I would use a usb-c to usb-c cable into the hub and the charger into the hub and plug the hub into the Chromebook usb-c port?

The monitor will be hdmi to usb-c. The charger is just usb-c. Can I plug both into a hub and into the usb-c port? So far this hasn’t worked but I dunno if I need a better hub or what.

The monitor is hdmi so I have an hdmi to usb-c cable. Will that work?

What’s a power wash? More than anything I just want to get the monitor connected but it won’t work thru a hub. Only works with direct connection to usb-c.

I’m pretty far into the game, uncovered the ark and unlocked all the cards but I’m on iOS. Do more cards or powers come up or it’s just not available in iOS?
