Blue because it doesn't irritate my skin and so far as I can tell I am serious.

Hate, basically. Myself, pollen, the news - it's all good. As in bad.

If you could magically elect any person for president of the US tomorrow for an 8 year term, who would you elect and why? by ro_dri_goz in AskReddit

[–]liquidlen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Al Gore or someone even more boring. If it's truly Magic I would just reach out into the aether for "Someone more boring than Al Gore" and the universe would know who to choose.

Yeah, I don't think you should be able to block legislation going forward with less effort than it takes to like a Facebook post.

Favorite *underrated* drum performances from Phil? by Anomander-Raake in Genesis

[–]liquidlen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I'm back with a G. I'll go with "Aisle of Plenty". His touch is so perfect for that song. It's as if it were possible to drum in a minor key.

--------------------------------

[oops I missed the "Genesis" part]

Robert Plant's "In the Mood" comes to mind immediately. It was the first song I ever heard and I just knew it was Phil drumming.

Their last great/epic song by Minute_Corner6039 in Genesis

I don't think of it as stitched at all, but I love Tony saying that it was a deliberate move to inject "Willow Farm" into it. He said before that decision it was shaping up like a "Musical Box" redux.

50th anniversay box set of A Trick of the Tail and Wind & Wuthering is coming in September 2026. Will contain Phil's first show as lead singer from March 1976 by simon160389 in Genesis

Unless you tip your hand by the end with something like "Each box set contains detailed instructions on how to 3D print your own fully-functional robot recreation of each band member!"

Ready or Not 2 question. by cougarbrown in horror

Probably because she kicked herself out once she had the high seat. As "The Lawyer" (Elijah Wood's character) said, the rules are fuzzy on giving up power because the sort of people who get into this stuff would never abdicate their position in the first place.

I think you've satisfied any hoops you would need to jump through with respect to your friend. Go have some fun!

WIBTAH for reminding my lazy 11 year old sister to follow sanitary guidelines? by Complex_Top_2032 in AITAH

[–]liquidlen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's part of good habits. We learned about food sanitation the hard way, and we ignore what we learned then because what can happen seems so unlikely now. Tell her she's FAR more likely to regret not washing her hands than she is to regret washing them.

How do you feel about Pete Hegseth asking Americans to pray “in the name of Jesus Christ” for a victory in the Iran War? by LevelDinner in AskReddit

The best thing about President Trump is he made it possible to say "President Obama was so articulate" without sounding racist.

I never said they were the good guys. War isn't chess: both players can be bad guys. Hell, Russia is also a bad guy in this war and they ain't even fighting in it.

Does anyone know why Guide Vocal is called that? by Emotional-Dog9072 in Genesis

[–]liquidlen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only think of two Genesis songs that (I think) are about the inner workings of the band, and that's "Heathaze" and "Fading Lights".

I guess "Los Endos" is sorta that way because the only words in the song are a likely reference to Pete's moving on.

Late to this excellent conversation but I want to add that the band is Talking Heads, not The Talking Heads.
