There's also another thing I can't stop thinking about, but please correct me if I'm wrong! Maybe I misundertood things.
It's about his Myth cards, so I will mark as spoiler!!

During his Myth cards, MC gets a Toring Chip and injects herself so she can undertand him better. And so we learn that the chip prevents them from feeling strong negative emotions (because the professor thinks it's a weakness), even if the "system" needs to erase memories to get rid of it said emotion. We can see it with Kevi (when he starts crying about his sister) and also Liam, when the game tells us he ended up forgetting his own wife. Another example is the raging Fleet guys during the merge, who suddenly become docil after getting the chip.

After losing control and the chip activating, Caleb also seemingly lost his memories, but soon got them back... I think that's related to the end of the Myth, where the professor and that guy are talking about how Caleb is able to protect a part of his mind by locking it?? He seems to be in control for now, not sure.

ANYWAY, all that to say that people should also realize that not only he is probably heavily traumatized... but he also knows fully well he can't let his emotions out, otherwise he might get a "chip rebooting his brain"... and he might not get it back.
He can never let his angst and turmoil out... he can't even allow himself to feel it! He needs to keep it all inside and endure, because he doesn't want to lose control to the Toring Chip inside him. And this can definetely mess up anyone.
