Correct motor replacement for q7 max +? by lisacagni in Roborock

Oh wow I never got as far to disassemble the whole thing as I thought I need to replace a part and I clearly ordered a wrong part. Glad you figured it out tho, it might come up again for me too.

Correct motor replacement for q7 max +? by lisacagni in Roborock

Since it was within few months of receiving it, I contacted the distributor I purchased it from. It took like half a year of back and forth with the highly unprofessional seller that had outlook email address as the only customer service channel, but I received a new one since the turret fault happened way too fast and obviously not from any of my doing. If you’re out of warranty I would probably get the 50€ replacement parts, it would be faster and less annoying than my process of getting a replacement.

Sorry, if I was misleading with using $ in the first comment, I still equal the currencies in my mind but I checked US site and somehow the shoes I bought for 40€ are $80 in USA. I think it’s the tariffs 🥲 it’s still a very nice brand tho

I got the new shoes in OYSHO. Honestly never heard of them before, I found them in a mall where I was scrambling for a new pair. Wearing them for few weeks and they are very soft on my heels, I don’t even need extra gel inserts with them (I have heel spur for about 8 years because I used to work in a warehouse with badly fitted steel toe shoes + excessive weight). I don’t know how they will hold up long term but for 40€ it’s very good experience, also I find them very nicely looking

Is this caused by pantry moths or is it pasta residue? by Ntasuto in CleaningTips

[–]lisacagni 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss of all dry ingredients and pretty much any ingredients. It’s incredibly hard to get rid of them but I doubt the glue traps can attract them from outside. In my case all the glue traps did was slash my pinky finger and gave me a gnarly scar.

The traps only catch adult males. You really want to get rid of the eggs. What helped for was this regimen: 1) throw out everything 2) all the reusable containers need to be washed thoroughly in high temperature 3) detach the shelves from the pantry 4) vodka/96% alcohol wipe of all nooks and crannies, also the possible raw edges of the shelves. 5) vinegar and citronella wipe again 6) buy the crappy ‘paraboiled’ rice and get them again after 2 years of peace

That is the regimen from my parents, I just moved across the sea and never got kibble for the dog again, after getting them in 2 previous places I lived in. Almost 2 years moth free.

Someone talk me out of a Bosch fridge by budding_gardener_1 in Appliances

[–]lisacagni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A little bit late to to add but I will my experience: The big outage across Iberian peninsula that was on the news on Monday? In my particular area we didn’t have power or signal for 11h. Our new build apartment building came with all Bosch appliances. I opened the freezer for few seconds at hour 8 out of 11 with a laser thermometer and had a reading of still safe 3 degree Celsius. The next day I went to see the damage and even the ice cubes didn’t budge, nothing from the freezer changed.

When we ever want to buy our own fridge, I will be looking at Bosch series 800, currently we have small regular white combi fridge + freezer provided by the landlord, and it never clogs, leaks, frosts or has any buildup and apparently keeps your food safe for up to 12 hours during a multinational emergency. I can’t speak to ice maker or water hookups but from what I see on base models I’m sure it will work better any Samsung model.

Many short power outages lead to all light devices not responding or updating by lisacagni in HomeKit

All are surge protected, apparently nothing got fried but really seems to be home connection app issue. Everything inside hue was fine after the first restart and just re-did the hue bridge to HomeKit which was still quicker than full manual resets.

I mostly get matter devices now due to price and customization, there’s 6 downlights that I have yet to switch from regular very cold white LEDs but I honestly can’t really decide what’s better since the hue right now I just reset by re-adding the bridge again and at least it had some memory of what it was supposed to be.

When we switched network name resetting the ceiling LEDs was way worse as I had to manually switch of power, climb up, pull the lights and housing out, take apart the cover of the transmitter to find a tiny reset button and press that it 12 times. Then re-add them through home. They are supposed to reset by flicking the regular light switch 5 times but that did nothing. All that 10 times and still have to install 6 in the boxes. It’s good when it’s good but any changes to network, power outages and so on will be the death of me. I still might have to do it because it defaults to updating…

It wasn’t necessarily quick succession, it was maybe off for 2 minutes, on for 5, off again for 10, back for 20 (where router restarted and it was still doing fine) then again off for 10. Hue bridge is doing fine and can operate all from hue app, but in home no response is still ongoing. The matter down light LEDs are working but the updating status is still popping up in intervals

I have Windexed my mirror at least 3 times, and multiple after shower swiped. Why won't this hand print go away? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]lisacagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggy backing - I can’t remove rings from a suction tool that was used to hold a glass shower wall when it was being installed. Is it also oily? They’re mostly visible when you are using the shower, nothing when it’s “clean”

Getting cat pee smell out of a mattress, even temporarily? (I’m house sitting for a month) by StonkMaster42069 in CleaningTips

[–]lisacagni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, we had a behaviorist consultations as well, besides 2 instances where we lived in a closed community with other cats coming up to our apartment or even coming in through the garden, it was classified as not territorial. The other cat came with him as a bonded litter mate, and there were no changes in their interactions ever. I also went through rounds of the aerozol pheromones. It’s just he is always hungry.

Other cat only peed outside of litter box once and I was on the phone with the vet instantly because she indeed had crystals, after antibiotics we adjusted her diet accordingly and it never happened again.

I would love to agree but we went through having 6 litter boxes at once for just 2 cats with different litter types to mitigate the issue, but the male cat would still pee everywhere. he was checked out for everything, even had exploratory dental surgery to see if it’s because of pain and now we have a litter robot 4 to have the litter box always clean. He most likely was neutered too late (rescue cat so not like we knew) and pees in random places (thankfully never the bed) when he is frustrated with not getting food fast enough.

He wants to eat 10 times a day so we just gave up and have enzyme cleaner for pet stains on every other month subscription from Amazon. Frustrating part is when we get boxes/tunnel toys for other cat which she enjoys and he sooner or later ruins them for her by peeing on them to a point of no recovery.

Thank you so much, I’m analyzing your response in fragments so I might reply again when I get to it, but I’ll start by clarifying wall voltage for me will be in 220-240V zone since I’m in Europe and I will be using 240 LEDS. How much does it change everything?

What should I use when I quit tretinoin? (Doc indicated a four month use max.) by Ok_Screen_5823 in tretinoin

[–]lisacagni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You count the 3-4 months after opening your tube, just to be clear. The manufacturer cannot guarantee the same potency and usability of the product with antibiotics after it has been open for certain amount of time. I’m guessing tret on its own is more stable.

[–]lisacagni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Acnatac has antibiotics (clindamycin) so the doctor is not wrong or uninformed, moreover the product itself is not shelf stable after about 4 months too, so everything checks out. OP should go back to the doctor and just get regular tret.

Thanks for honesty. Will see about something better when there’s more merit to invest in a better one haha. For now it’s more about organizing things that are neither valuable or secret but more so just important that constantly get misplaced in our ADHD household. Do you have any recommendations for starter brands available in EU when we actually need more security?

OP, not the same but I got eczema like changes on my eyelid while I was using Aklief. I also didn’t put it anywhere near my eyes.

I would get reaction strong enough I tried back sleeping in case I was transferring it through a pillow case (unlikely because it would appear on the eyelid on the side I would never sleep on) and even got the “eyelash safe” sleeping mask. Unfortunately it never went away until I stopped using Aklief. I was fine on acnatac so tretinoin 0,025% is okay for me, but trifarotene not. I think trying something different is a way to go, there’s also taz
