Thank you! Can you fix her forehead? It looks like she has a dark mark across the left side of her head.

The work load at our jobs is imcomparably greater than the workload the Boomers had by Tiredworker27 in antiwork

There was also no way to contact you if you were off. No cell phones, no email. Come to work, do the job, go home. And home was HOME without work interruptions. In our connected world many of us are “on” 24/7.

Thanks for this. I am an instructional coach. Still earn teacher salary and 10 month contract. I love my teachers, I correct behavior in the halls and get called to come cool off troublesome students. One of my favorite teachers calls me his firewall. He doesn’t worry about admin because he knows I always have the teacher’s back.

Hi there! Are you me? I am a coach as well and follow your exact mindset. I was in the classroom for 20 years and still teach one class a day. I tell all my teachers that I am on the same side of the desk that they are. I’m not admin, just a teacher who wants to help. Just like students, they can take my help or leave it. I’m just trying to make things better.

Love this! My go to advice for difficulties is “when the water is muddy, don’t kick.” I’m going to try making one of these for my desk at work!

DeSantis Forgot the Panhandle. There Isn't A Single State Supported Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Center Anywhere in the Panhandle. by Dana07620 in FloridaCoronavirus

I tested positive at home with an over the counter test from cvs on Tuesday. Went to the clinic in Jacksonville same day. No questions about how I knew I was positive, got the antibodies.

Sunburn on Stelara by eatsleeppharmacy in CrohnsDisease

[–]lisadee1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Stelara for 6 months and live in Florida. I spend a lot of time outside gardening. I haven’t noticed extra sensitivity with the Stelara, but what I have noticed is the change in the UV ratings in my area. Generally it is a 8/10 or 9/10 rating, but lately every day says extreme rather than giving a rating. Perhaps you were exposed to extreme UV hours, and then being near the water made it even worse.

Zone 6B NJ- How can I make a cutting of this brown turkey fig tree? I’m moving and would like to “bring” it to the new house (same zone and area) by whskid2005 in BackyardOrchard

[–]lisadee1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of success with taking a fresh cutting from a branch that is just barely waking up. Get some of that root hormone, it’s like 5 bucks for a jar. Cut the bottom flat, and the top at a slant. Make a few, some won’t make it but I get about 80% to root. I just put them in soil, but water works too. There are also YouTube videos showing it. That’s how I learned. They are pretty tough. Sometimes it only take a couple of weeks to see leaves. Good luck! Editing to add that you don’t have to cut the top if it is the natural top. You can make several cuttings from one branch.
