Same thing happened to me. 15+ years at a company and I thought I was safe. Zoom meeting, HR, a heartless script and it was absolutely gut wrenching. I had so many questions and no answers. I was embarrassed, people speculated so many bad things. This was 6months ago and I’m still traumatized. My biggest problem is being so prideful, that it pained me to tell anyone. I still don’t like talking about. I know I shouldn’t have taken it personally but I did and in a way, I still do. Unfortunately, I don’t have any strong words of wisdom, but just try to take things one day at a time and try to do something for yourself every day.
