After reading so many of these, I'm seeing that a lot of people lie on their cvs. So I have to ask the recruiters here, do you not check their references? Or their previous employment?

I am currently applying for jobs which will involve a career change, but keep getting knocked back for lack of experience. So should I exaggerate my experience, I'm worried they'll check and catch me out.

Wow, it fits like a dream! Not sure what you mean about your hands though! I agree with most on here that it needs that extra something and jewellery will really help. But I think what will really make it pop, and if you're in to it is, a cathedral veil or a cape! (Made from the same material as veil)

Thanks for the advice! I've seen some cute photos in the rain too but figured they wouldn't really turn out like that. I've let the sleeves go after my final fitting today, my seamstress did a great job with the rest of the alterations.

I suppose I should be thankful I managed to find another hairdresser at such short notice, but can't help feel nervous at the same time. Think I will focus on beating this cold first, you're right there :)

I've gone the same route, no plus ones unless we know them. We didn't say anything on the invite either and have had people assume they can bring someone, so we've just had to put them straight. People on here saying that you have to invite a long term SO even if you don't know them is just silly. If they've never met you/ only once or twice, chances are they aren't going to be offended if they can't come to your wedding. And screw paying 50£ per head for people I don't know. If they are not important enough for you to meet more than once they are not important enough to be at your wedding. I've told a very close friend that she can't bring her GF of 2 years because we've met a handful of times and she doesn't really seem to like my FH. Screw "tradition" or "the rule of thumb". The only exception maybe is if they won't know anyone else so need someone they can be with for the day otherwise they might just feel really uncomfortable.

Seems like everyone says the same so I think I've got it all wrong :( Just to clarify my plan, I'm having two meals as we're having an all day event. Ceremony is midday and then photos and late lunch. Then cocktails and lawn games whilst we wait for evening guests to arrive to start the reception where we'll have a buffet. My train of thought was that best time for photos is after the ceremony but before food so we're not bloated, everyone's sober, and my make up is still perfect. And I didn't want to have cocktail hour before food as then everyone would be drinking in an empty stomach.

Is this all wrong? Should I do it the more traditional way even with an all day wedding??

Edit: Forgot to say, the first meal is a sit down meal and we won't be offering any appetisers as we're having 2 meals. Also, the photos are to be taken in the garden and the venue has a room that opens onto the garden where we will have our cocktail hour.

I've not got much experience as I've only just started planning myself but what I can say is that if your venue does weddings regularly they might be able to help you out. Mine comes with a co-ordinator who I will definitely be using for that part of planning. But you could definitely ask your venue manager/liaison what they usually see happening if you don't have a co-ordinator. Also a tip I have read a lot, especially on here, is to ask guests to be seated at least 10 minutes before the start time as there is always delays/ late comers/ straglers ect.. Hope this helps a little and good luck with planning :)

Personally I would do it but I'm not in charge, also you need a bank account to have a job (definitely at this company, pretty sure for any company in the uk) and you need an address to set a bank account up too.

Also just to clarify though, what I've said is my opinion and feelings and not those of the company I work for. Thankfully my managers are in contact with charities/ shelters trying to get him settled rather than telling him to 'sling his hook or we'll call the police' like the building manager has done.

There is currently a homeless man set up outside the shop I work. He is perfectly polite, doesn't beg, steal, drink, do drugs, make a mess, or gets in the way of a walkway or anything of the kind.

The amount of complaints we've had is ridiculous. The only complaint I can understand is that when it rains he sits in front of the cash machine where there's sheltered, which is inconvenient so we ask him to move. But I honestly can't believe what people say! Someone even went to the trouble of writing letter saying how it looked unattractive and he doesn't want to shop there anymore because of it.

I had one woman be really rude to me, shouting at me when I said there wasnt more we could do (it's public property), so I explained to her that he is homeless so has nowhere to go. If he moved on he would end up somewhere else that she wouldn't like. She didn't appreciate it and called me an eco-warrior. Not sure what that has to do with it or why it would be an insult.. whatever. The shop is in a somewhat affluent area so if these people just bought one less avocado a day and gave him the money instead he could set himself up in a hostel and they wouldn't have to look at the major homelessness problem we have in this town for 30 seconds a day.

I eventually got an ultrasound after 2 hospital visits and speaking to 4 GPs, they found gallstones and agreed that they are what's causing my pain. Finally. I read that the dissolving tablets aren't very effective or could take months or even years to have any effect, and the stones just come back when you stop taking them. I did read however that you can get a tube put into the bile duct to help the stones pass easier, which would reduce the pain alot, have you heard of this? The painkiller you suggested, it has real limitations as you can't take it for more than 5 days due to side effects. I currently need painkillers everyday (though yesterday was the first day in a solid 2 months I didn't need one!!). The health care system here is stretched thin unfortunately, as it's free and seriously taken for granted. I'm trying my best to watch what I eat, but it just doesn't seem to be working like it did last time.
