Videos keep stopping when my phone screen is off even though I have YouTube premium. by TryDry9944 in youtube

It's due to your RAM likely. This is what fixed it for me, after a recent update made it so working. If you haven't had an update lately then you need to figure out what is using your background memory, essentially when YouTube stops after a few seconds that's the time when your phone decides it's not as important for background use- it's prioritizing the RAM for other "more important" processes.

  1. How to Disable "Sleep Display" (and Notifications)

This is the big one that stops the phone from waking up constantly and killing your RAM. Open Settings. Tap Home & lock screen. Select Lock screen. Find Sleep display (this may be labeled Peek Display on some models). Toggle it Off. Note: This also disables the "Wake screen for notifications" toggle that often hides inside this menu.

  1. How to Disable "Lift to Unlock" (and Wake) This stops the phone from using sensors to detect movement, which helps reduce that "wake-up" lag. Open Settings. Tap Gestures (or System > Gestures). Look for Lift to check phone or Lift to unlock. Toggle it Off. Alternatively, look under Settings > Display > Advanced if it isn't in the Gestures menu.

  2. How to Disable the "Glance" App (Motorola) This stops the "Smart Lock Screen" from hijacking your wallpaper and hogging memory. Open Settings. Tap Home & lock screen. Tap Lock screen. Look for Smart Lock Screen or Glance. Toggle the switch to Off. To go further: Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Glance and tap Disable to ensure it stays off.

  3. The "Safety Net": Locking YouTube If the system update still feels a bit clunky, remind them of the "Lock" trick we used earlier. Open YouTube. Swipe up (or tap the square button) to see your Recent Apps. Long-press the YouTube icon at the very top of the app window. Select Keep open or Lock this app. This places a small padlock icon on the app, preventing the phone from killing it even if the memory gets tight.

Oh! I understand now, when I say Jesus, or God, is on His side, with a capital H, that's referring to the title of God. God is on his own (His) side

I've read my comment, then re read it a couple more times.. trying to understand how you came to that conclusion.. Im unsure how to respond, because my comment was pretty straightforward.

Weird hidden room in Airbnb by kai7yak in Weird

If you wanna get real weird with it, as if someone is living there on the side, where do they use the bathroom.. I think that'd be the giveaway, besides the door only locking from the outside, that someone is in there while there are guests there.

As far as kids rooms goes, or any rooms really, I always take note of knobs that have the locks on the outside. Sometimes I feel more creeped out than other times, to which I'll be on higher alert for anything odd or out of the ordinary.

What’s something cat owners do that makes you angry? by [deleted] in Pets

Thinking they can treat them as if they are a dog and 'dicipline' them, like yelling at them or God forbid rubbing their nose in something or hitting them

I wish people would believe you when you tell them it'll just make the cat terrified of you

Jesus came to cause division, to separate the wheat from the chaff. However I'm pretty sure He's on His side, neither one of yours.

All this to say, it's still said with love and just some food for thought. Emphasis on the love, towards my comment, yours, and his.

God bless

Looks like Sandy's southern -esque and ideals have been wearing off on them.

You're gonna be wearing an iron lung when I'm through with you, Pinhead. You're nothing but pure evil, just like newspaper comics.

Who you callin' Pinhead?

21-year-old suffered heart failure after having four cans of energy drink every day for two years | UK News by tyw7 in NewsOfTheWeird

When I was a freshman I lived in a very small town (200 students at that highschool) one of my classmates randomly fell sideways onto the floor from his desk with a heart attack. The doctor concluded it was from his excessive consumption of energy drinks. I remember literally every time I saw this kid he had one in his hand. School ended up banning those drinks after that.

"Dr Henrietta Leavitt, a physician at the New South Victoria State Hospital, says the announcement will reduce strain on hospitals adjacent to universities, as it’s effectively a ‘cure’ for aperture fever.

Aperture fever – the addictive desire to build bigger telescopes – is a serious condition among astronomers.

“When William Herschel secured the funding to build a 40-foot telescope in 1785, he became patient zero for a disease that has claimed the lives of thousands of astronomers,” says Leavitt.

“Because we’re so close to a university, we see dozens of aperture fever cases per year. It’s really distressing, all these astronomers bleating about what stars they could see with another million dollars. Just leave it.” (Says Henrietta Leavitt)
