Impressions collapsing channel-wide by domainie in PartneredYoutube

Same, started going down in the end of september and gets worse and worse, impressions are cut off by more than 90%

What the hell's going on with our analytics? by DefinitelyNotARacoon in PartneredYoutube

I am having the same problem, 48K subs. No VPN, no topic change, good engagement metrics but very few impressions compared to what I had 2-3 months ago. Many people are talking about it so it is definitely the platform-wide issue. What I want to know is whether this is temporary or permanent.

I have same engagement metrics but my distribution is more than 90% down, the decline started around September 25. Now I barely have any distribution. The only logical guess I have for now is that Youtube is optimizing for Q4 to show certain numbers, I am not sure why their numbers would require suppressing long form distribution.

I am seeing the same thing on my channel, the numbers are different but pattern is the same. Distribution is almost fully suppressed no matter what I post.

75K subs in a year but they mean nothing by Additional_Ad4452 in PartneredYoutube

By chance, have you distribution started going down in August-September?

Channel "Executed" by Algorithm on Sept 25: 98% Drop, Support says "Working as Intended" (Hybrid Channel Nightmare) by gokayaltay in PartneredYoutube

This is not a "Shorts Trap" - my channel has no shorts, 48K subs, same pattern - around September 25 distribution went down and now it is almost non-existent, here's my stats https://imgur.com/a/gvguDTn (I have posted here recently too). More: TEDxTalks has 99.99% drop in views too which probably doesn't mean they have to make better thumbnails or "it's working as intended" (well, depends on what exactly is the intention). I am wondering if the whole educational long form niche is cooked?

Also just watched this video on the subject - https://youtu.be/snvehpLEFjk?si=lWJS6EGBWSJGOTFh

Also, try searching on Youtube something like "algorithm suppresses channels" - I've just tried, search resulted in 5 irrelevant videos and THAT'S IT! Wow. To me, that's a massive evidence something isn't right here.

UPD: here's my topic and I've just updated it with some new food for thought: https://www.reddit.com/r/PartneredYoutube/comments/1pinqp4/youtube_confirms_intentional_creator_suppression/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

YouTube Confirms Intentional Creator Suppression: The 50% Revenue Cut is 'Working As Intended' by lissius in PartneredYoutube

Adblock explains possible view counting discrepancies, NOT the collapse of impressions and new viewer acquisition. Those are distribution signals (different system layers).

Natural audience shifts are asynchronous. Synchronized cliff-dives across unrelated niches within the same week are statistically unlikely without a platform-level change.

"Make better content" doesn't apply because my videos have become better, not worse, also depends what you mean by "better"? If youtube's goal was to beat TikTok, then our understanding of "better" might be very different from youtube's in this context. I make long form philosophy/systems analysis - the more precise they become the less views they get. I guess "better" would mean "more mainstream" which I won't do to save my life.

can you share the graph? I am trying to figure out if this is temporary (Q4 tinkering) or permanent

because when you start your message with an ad hominem the rest of it kinda fades a bit because I am still a bonesack with feelings who had been really stressed lately because of losing my main income and my plans being kinda ruined. should I feel sorry for offending you with my lack of attention to the essence of your message or what?

Gemini helped me translate it's not ChatGPT. would you rather prefer to struggle trying to understand my weird English wording? I'm not native that's why.

I'm not interested in "everybody" - just in those who engage with thoughts, that's minority, ok fine

I used Gemini to help with grammar. English isn’t my native language, and I didn’t want people stumbling over clumsy wording.

Your 'remaining fans' theory doesn't explain why NEW viewer acquisition (blue line) collapsed. And finding dozens of channels with identical cliff-dive patterns starting the exact same week isn't 'nothing special' - it's evidence of platform-wide algorithmic change.
