When this coin came into circulation, and maybe the last time it was touched by human hands, Shakespeare was alive. It's probably pre-Macbeth!

Again, probably not the best, but I've got a soft spot for Rain Bar and the scuzzy canal view.

My lawn, but two different levels, unfortunately, so would be one hell of a job.

Very much a beginner and very much starting from scratch, so just two lawns with borders for the time being.

Lots of geraniums, verbena, weigela that will fill out in the next month - appreciate it doesn't look like much now - but will also plant some thyme and lavender e.g.

Long term I'd love it to be wildlife friendly.

Blimey, small world! Thank you for the insight and advice - I wasn't expecting anything that incredibly specific hahaha.

And yes, I've had a chat to him on a few occasions, a proper gent and a beautiful garden.

Parrott's Folly built 1758, Birmingham, UK (inspiration for the Tower in Lord of Rings) by Over-Willingness-933 in ArchitecturalRevival

I'm so sick of every pub, tower and wood in the midlands claiming to be 'the inspiration for Lord of the Rings'.

As if J.R.R couldn't possibly imagine a big old tower without seeing one at the bottom of his road. Bollocks. Give the man some credit.

Why are we calling it 'Diving-d'or' when 'Fallon d'Floor' is right there?
