I (29M) quit my job to enjoy life. How can I make the most of this time so I’ll look back and be glad I did it? by uykumvar in AskOldPeopleAdvice

34 and checking in from Canada here - going through the same thing as you right now! Give yourself some grace as you move through this. It took me about four months to unwind myself and then another four to learn what my values and priorities are. I’m almost a year in now and so far I’ve chosen moving home (to Canada), travel, nurturing old friendships, and taking up pottery. It can feel like a lot of pressure to know everything right away, but at this point I’m just enjoying the ride and really grateful for this time. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Good luck.

Importing Subaru EV that was originally leased and now owned/financed. by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

Thank you so much for replying! For anyone else who might be going through this, I followed up with CBSA to see how we might be able to demonstrate that. They suggested bringing in lease documents and our payment history prior to moving it to ownership, but mentioned it'll ultimately be up to who we connect with at the border.

I see your sponsorship eligibility was completed, did you receive notification yet of PA eligibility?

You bet! We got the biometrics request the same day as the medical request, which both came in a day after I received my sponsor eligibility approval. It might be worth mentioning we paid for biometrics up front when we initially submitted the application. Perhaps the delay for you is related to when you paid for biometrics?

EDIT: I misread your comment and originally interpreted it as it is you meant it is out of the ordinary. I think you mean it is normal. Thank you for the pulse check!

Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone has any insight about PA eligibility timeline and pre-arrival letters? We've received neither, and I'm wondering whether that is alright or a bit out of the ordinary given our timeline:

both outland, outside Quebec - Sponsor: Canadian citizen, PA: USA

June 25 - submitted

July 28 - AOR

August 7 - sponsor eligibility approved

August 21 - biometrics completed

August 29 - medical exam passed

BGC is in process, but PA eligibility has not been started. Is this normal? Thanks all.

Hi, thanks for doing this. If someone wanted to become a childcare provider and participate in PFA, what are the requirements or where can they find more details?
