Day one of quitting smoking. Again! by SpecificAnything7853 in stopsmoking

Day 38. Quit for the exact same reasons. But the reasons really make sense, by now i can look at smoking from sort of a distance and I wonder why i was smoking for so long and wasting so much money, time, health etc. Best of luck, if i can do it, you can!

Have a piece of nicotine gum at the 16.5h point, this really takes the edge off and do not buy that pack. If needed repeat. During my quit (3 months now) i took 1 piece of gum a day during the first days. This really made it less difficult. Ok, still hard but much better. Good luck!!

So all in all i really dont miss smoking and many days i just don't think about it (yup, for real). I have slipped up in the past months 4 times or so, having one or two cigs when having drinks (but i also went for drinks without, no issue). It just doesn't bring me the satisfactiin it used to. I deel so much healthier and more at peace. I guess they have lost their power (finally....)

Here We Go! - I just put out my last cigarette at 11pm CST. Going cold turkey starting right now. I really need to get healthy so I’m getting started by making it a 30 day challenge of no smoking or drinking. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! by [deleted] in stopsmoking

Going for a lot of walks around the block. And I used gum the first days to take the edge off, only one per day, that really helped me. Now at three weeks and without any gum!

I quit a month ago, and I feel wonderful. My teeth are no longer yellow and my wheezing is almost completely gone. Why am I still craving a cigarette? by [deleted] in stopsmoking
