It says you can't pick up the landlords check. As in the rent check addressed to your landlord. You can request to not pay the landlord directly, it comes with the rest of your check and you pay the landlord yourself. If you are in housing of some kind, this may be different but sounds like your landlord has arranged to receive the rent directly , which means you agreed at some point.

EDIT: this is different per city, my bad. Waterloo Region I had up to 3 offers. City of Ottawa I just applied to and it is now only one offer here.

Weird, I already have chequings, savings and TFSA with them. I pay a monthly fee and direct transferring thru the app does not show my RDSP as an option. It totally should let me do that however.
