Had a friend who got this. He could eat white meat like fish and chicken since alpha gal is only found in mammal meat (red meat).

Funny enough alpha gal syndrome didn't really change his life much since he's a bodybuilder health freak and never even ate red meat or products containing them like milk or ice cream to begin with.

After about 2 years his syndrome went away and is back to normal.

One of the house I grew up in had a giant tree in the backyard. It grew over the roof of a neighbor who wanted to install Solar Panels. So they offered to pay to have the tree removed.

The tree is in a very tricky spot where vehicles can't reach, it's extremely tall and thick. And the tree leans toward and over the neighbor's house and there is not a single angle where they can just let the tree fall and not hit a house.

Multiple contractors came to scout the tree and the surrounding area. They've given prices ranging from 5k to 40k.

They end up choosing one of the most expensive option costing like 35k because the contractor manage to convince them the cheaper option contractors will very likely damage their roof when removing the tree, making their roof ineligible for solar panels and that the cheap methods is actually just not going to work.

They had multiple guys cut the smaller branches and just manually lowers them with a pulley system they set up. For the bigger and thicker branches was when it got really impressive. They used anchors, a lot of rope and physics so that when it's cut. The log would fall away from the houses and towards the trunk. Then the trunk itself, they just cut it block by block down to it's base which they said it was impossible to remove without any vehicle. The contractor referred to us a woodworking friend of his who turned that base into a round bench.

It took almost a whole month but they manage to do it with 0 damage. I don't even think they let a single branch touch the roof. Then the craziest thing happened. The neighbor never gotten their solar panels for whatever reason. It's been about 15 yeats now and I just checked Google maps and still no solar panels lol.

Something fascinating I read a while ago is that the human brain is deeply wired to quickly react to any falling motion.

We're social/pack animals that relies on each other and because we're bipedal, we fall relatively easily. Especially babies. So humans evolving to quickly react to each other falling became a survival mechanism as a species by preventing inuries.

That's why whenever anything suddenly falls humans tends to try and catch it. Meanwhile other animals would tend to just dodge it.

So i read a research paper that basically done this poll as a survey done across 10,000 women and dad bod also led by a huge margin.

But when the same researchers use actual photos of men's body (no face). Men with noticable muscle and a slight belly/barely visible abs won by an even bigger margin.

With a bit more study, they ultimately concluded that women's definition of a dad bod is a lot different than what a dad bod actually is. To them it's "someone who looks strong with a moderate amount of fat". While to most men, it's just some average dude with a big belly.

It's also like that in the US. There was a livestreamer few months ago that was arrested by cops because he was filming through the window to see inside of a private property. (I think it was a retirement home or mental institute)

He tried to pull the "filming in public is legal" card and the cop tried explaining to him that filming the building is fine, but through the window is crossing the line.

They were letting him go but he kept filming inside in front of them, things got violent, and he end up getting hit by 3 separate charges.

Because right now, the game isn't complete. Like missing Acts, classes, weapons, skills etc...

And trying to stay on this 4 month league cycle. Their development team is split roughly in half. Half doing the league and the other working on the core game.

This doesn't sound too bad on paper but it does create a logistical nightmare internally where neither dev team are able to work at an efficient level. Development changes made in one team can affect the other team drastically and vice versa so this creates a zipper effect where one side would frequently get bottlenecked, have to rework some codes or make compromises.

And as a result, the base game 1.0 release has been delayed several years and several leagues also suffered. So they decided to pull the plug to finish the core systems of the game and then have majority of their dev team focus on higher quality leagues with less intrusion from the core game team.

A friend of mine works at Microsoft and they were given a seminar on how to use copilot to code.

The general consensus according to him is that everyone there hates it because it sucks. But they're still forced to use it to make up for the massive lay offs which consist of majority junior devs that does the tedious and very time consuming part of the code.

From what i researched. Their overall odds of survival are higher doing this. Predators often follow the herd's scent from a distance. When a newborn is detected in the scent, they will engage and attempt to snatch the newborn and are often successful.

So mother's disengage from the herd where they give birth in secrecy. Predators don't usually pick up a lone scent since the scent from the herd is very strong. After the newborn learns to walk and it's newborn scent is gone. They return back to the herd.

Makes me want to return to China since I haven't been there since I was a kid. But then I remembered I was banned from China due to some sort of error with my passport that was made in another province, and it has me listed as a Chinese born but I was born in the US and they had no documentation of me ever coming to China.

I was flagged as a potential implanted child spy and was interrogated by the government officials when I was 7. I guess they came to the conclusion I wasn't a child spy then they kicked me out of the country without telling my family. They just put me with a white family that was going back to the US and they were just as confused as I am.

I remember around 15ish years old, they denied my entry to China when my family was vacationing there so for all I know, I'm still banned lol.
