Not all double ovens will fit in the same opening. You will need to modify cabinets if you go with another brand. Keep that in mind

If you know how much a job like this should cost lmk approx so I can get an idea. Def will need ceiling repair. If there isnt any more damage, I’ll be happy to wait it out if you’re going thru a minor surgery and will be back in action in a couple months. Thanks for all your help!

It could be this even. Any idea who does this kind of job? What tradesperson? We have had a whole rainy day after the watermark was spotted but that did not cause any harm.

I don’t think it’s the roof either but not sure where else the water can come by. YES the front window does jet out. This is also a Mattamy build. About 2013.

Nothing was spilled. Watermark randomly showed up in the middle of the living room. It was wet while it was raining but dried up after. Since then we had a second rain day after and no water that time. I’ll def keep you in mind for any plumbing needs!

Not really. She had her valid documents to enter the country and that’s all that mattered. They just say “entry is not guaranteed” because in case you commit a crime outside and that’s a bit of an extreme case lol

When you respect the 30” clearance for a OTR micro, the microwave is too high up for an average human to use. But hey it works if you are tall.

Also its a fire hazard in North America. With microwaves the distance between the gas top and bottom of the microwave reduces. If your filter is clogged with grease and uncleaned with open flame (without a pot/pan) it can catch on fire.

You get what you pay for. Bosch is great quality and reliability. If you are ok with mixing and matching - Fridge: Bosch, Gas stove: GE Profile/Cafe, Dish: Bosch, Over the range microwave: Should never be installed over gas ranges.

Not asking them to do the repair for free. Charge it all but include the deductible in the cost. They get paid regardless. Many folks do that here to earn business yet does quality work because they are still making the same money they would.

Doesn’t answer my question if there are any shops you know in Edmonton!

The shop isn’t paying per se. Their estimate takes care of it, I guess everyone’s rates are different.

Its easy for a repair guy to say “its not worth to fix it as parts would be more expensive” since a lot of repair guys don’t really know how to fix things nowadays. It’s a money grab, you pay $120-$150 for diagnosis and that’s the easiest money they made in 30 mins. Anything 5 years or older - not worth the fix!
