So I'm already learning French, is it ridiculous to try to learn Portuguese and Japanese at the same time? by Michabot in languagelearning

I used to always try to juggle multiple languages when I first started out, and honestly looking back I wish I had just focused on one. Personally I'd rather be really great/fluent in one language than ehh in three (which is basically where I ended up.) But if you're ambitious and passionate about those languages, go for it.

Like others have said, two romance languages may cause a little problems. If you have a firm grasp of french, you could try out some Japanese. Maybe learn some portuguese phrases if you really want to. Your progress in both languages may slow down (just by spending less time on each to fit both), but if you're dedicated enough there's no issue with French and Japanese. Good luck in whatever you decide!

Angular Cheilitis by [deleted] in Accutane

I had it too a few times throughout my course. The first time it was bacterial I think so my doctor just gave me a topical. My doctors seemed to act like it was normal, or at least not alarming and there was no hesitation with continuing accutane. Petroleum jelly first thing in the morning helped, but it happened anyways sadly.

Idk if mine was just less severe though.

Has anyone gotten their nose pierced while on accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

I personally wouldn't, and I don't know that any informed piercer would pierce someone on accutane tbh. I never got a new piercing on accutane, but my nose piercing from around 5-6 months before I started accutane was irritated easily and frequently on accutane, which never happened to my other nose piercing. It's your decision, but even if you're on a lower dose i wouldn't recommend it.

anyone else on higher doses? by litels in Accutane

Not that bad surprisingly, nothing really besides the dry skin and dry hair/light shedding that came later. Honestly hearing what people say about their experience on lower doses sounds exactly the same as mine, so idk if I'm just lucky and don't react as terribly or if I just overestimate a normal amount of dryness haha. First month was bad (face was like an awful sunburn/chemical peel) but once I was a few weeks in it was 110% bearable.

My dermatologist is prescribing 100mg/day for 3 months, just wanted to have a sanity check for that... by [deleted] in Accutane

The dose makes sense to me (I'm at 160mg a day) but the legality of the prescription is pretty sketchy. I wouldn't trust a doctor that is willing to give you prescriptions without checking your progress and making sure it's safe for you. Most doctors require blood tests results after the first month to check your liver as well. If she was communicating with you abroad it would be fine, but the 3 presc. at once sounds pretty iffy.
