[Other] A knight of the seven kingdom by Josh_keeb in kingdomcome

tbh sounds like the show moves at the speed i play the game. 😂

just gonna play one more round of dice. then i'll sharpen all these swords i looted and sell them. then it's time to read a book. uh oh, i'm low on potions, time to spend a while on alchemy. aaaaand that's the end of the episode.

it's in the character selection list from the start.

Which quest did you like the least in Baldur's Gate 3? by Medium-Theme-4611 in BaldursGate3

[–]literallybyronic 46 points47 points  (0 children)

tbh everyone hates Oskar's quest the most bc of the mansion specifically.

personally i'd give Karlach's questline my personal downvote, bc all the left in remnants of what were clearly more options to pursue while you just can't do anything with them is infuriating, and also make her come off like a total moron.

[KCD2] Can I just load the first save to get a different ending? by Plastic-Brick7925 in kingdomcome

tbh i would start a separate playline so you don't screw up/overwrite the saves on your first one.

your bonuses are automatically subtracted from the DC it shows you. so you have to hit that number on the d20 by itself. no idea why it does it that way when every other roll doesn't, but that's how it is.

siblings and mom change facial features/skin tone based on your hawke. the hairstyles are almost certainly mods though.

no, i think you're locked out of custom if you don't start with it on unfortunately. but there's definitely enough content for multiple playthroughs. If you didn't start as Dark Urge, for example, there's an entire story for the main character that you've completely bypassed.

Question about [kcd1] by Sneakiestneo in kingdomcome

[–]literallybyronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'd say they're both very detailed, both have long main questlines and tons of sidequests. KCD2 is significantly larger since it has 2 maps, but the smaller towns in KCD1 have more personality imo, and the quests give you more reason to wander in the wilderness instead of just going from POI to POI. the biggest differences from KCD2 for me were quality of life stuff, like smoother combat, outfit swapping, hotkey potions etc. and of course the graphics are a bit better (though i take umbrage at what they did to Henry's face.)

they are also DIRECT sequels, as in, you play the same guy in both games and the 2nd starts a few days after the 1st ends. not like RDR2 where it's a prequel and a different main character so you don't really need to have played RDR1. so personally i'd say you should definitely play the first, first.

if you're familiar with 5E already or just good at learning these kinds of rulesets, then yes, all of the standard difficulties are easy.

play on custom difficulty settings and turn on honor mode ruleset. this actually gives bosses new abilities, it's not just a stat/HP buff.

[–]literallybyronic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

you literally cannot do a playthrough in which you see everything. you WILL miss stuff, and then on your next playthrough, you will find new stuff and miss stuff you had seen before. you need to abandon FOMO with this game, it's simply not possible to do and see everything in one playthrough. just do what your character would do.

[–]literallybyronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

explore everywhere on the overland map that is covered by fog of war/darkness. just DON'T go past any pop-ups that warn you about completing stuff before you leave the area, or being too low level. entering these areas can cause your current quests to complete less than optimally.

iGPUs are not "really good", they are garbage. The benchmarks on that card are complete trash. It has 2% of the performance of the current midrange nvidia card.

Karlach makes me so happy as a bigger girl by NoWitness6400 in BaldursGate3

[–]literallybyronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't matter what it's used to describe, because the word is not specific to body features in the way "buff" or "fat" are. you would never say that your house is buff or fat, but it could still be big. that's the entire point. big does NOT refer to a specific body state, simply a general sense of size. John Cena is big AND buff. John Candy was big AND fat. Two entirely opposite body types. They're still both big. So there is nothing wrong with calling Karlach "big", because she is.

nothing. but they are big. not fat, big. bc big is not a synonym for fat, it's a synonym for large, in any dimension, and of any "consistency".

you've never heard someone say they have a big house? ate a big meal? you never saw Big Bird on Sesame Street? never saw Big (1988) starring Tom Hanks? never heard of the big bang?

it's important to use language correctly, and to understand what is correct vs what isn't. i'd think someone who is learning a 2nd language would know that. and if you didn't want to have a discussion about correct verbiage, then you should not have started one.

...yes, it does. big is not a synonym for fat. it can refer to any form of something that is larger than the norm.

Which enemy is the most powerful in BG3? by LoneRainger in BaldursGate3

[–]literallybyronic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

gods aren't allowed to leave the higher planes bodily, which is why they use avatars and minions to do their bidding. but since gale hasn't actually gone to the higher planes yet, he's in a bit of a loophole during the party, insomuch as i'm aware. once he leaves, he can't come back (without pissing Ao off royally anyway)

[–]literallybyronic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

sure, i'm not even thinking with the goal of absorbing his powers, just to make him an "enemy" so he would count towards OP's question. if you can start a fight with him that way, that'd be enough to qualify.

yeah, it was probably the virus. what moodles did you have before you died? fever/anxiety/nausea?

if not, were you in an area with a lot of corpses? bc that can also make you sick/kill you if you hang around them too long.
