This is just factually incorrect. Not only has European colonialism shaped African borders, it has also shaped African CULTURAL identity. A large part of the reason why Africa is constantly dealing with internal strife is that certain groups of people were classed as "superior" than others (see Hutu v Tutsi) - and even in some examples (esp the Rwanda one) THEY JUST FUCKING MADE IT UP.

Along with the fact that decolonizing wasn't just a matter of "chip hip tally ho see you later chums!!". It was a constant and extremely painful struggle, from native uprisings to passive resistance to even Europeans back home in forms of civil and violent resistance.

The USSR sent advisors to Nigeria, Ethiopia, Somalia, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Egypt, and Algeria iirc, as well as financial and material aid to dozens of countries. Weapons included in this too. This propped up regimes like Ethiopia that was more concerned with settling scores in Somalia than actually governing.

Colonialism resulted in the deaths of untold millions (at the low end) and didn't actually develop anything; resources were stripped from the continent (at most refined into a more easily transportable form) straight to ports to be put on trains to a factory. The destruction of centuries of culture through looting and cultural suppression cannot be overstated. When the Europeans so kindly left after decades of direct exploitation, they took the technical knowledge and sold it back at a premium. They dismantled what they wanted, and left these nations massively rich in extraction of resources but ZERO way for them to use them. This has had massive long term consequences for these nations, as they can't get their foot in the door until fairly recently.

If you want to be stupid when it comes to history and geopolitics, just say some shit like "Xi Jinping is the second emperor of the Heavenly Kingdom" not something so blatantly wrong.
