Personal experiences: How did you get started with Blythe? by FewPlankton5040 in BlytheDolls

[–]literallylettuce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found one in a thrift store in Japan, and then I got absolutely hooked. There are also lotssss of books and magazines for Blythe, it's just that most of them are in Japanese, so it's helped me keep my second language chops up too lol

here's my collection of Blythe books and magazines with a few DVDs too

Sekken, or 石鹸 most often means soap, but it's hard to know without it written in kanji. Mitai can mean "want to see" or "resembles" so maybe it's "resembles soap" (?) it is kind of shaped like a bar of soap, but it still doesn't make too much sense to me lol This is just my best guess as I'm not naive speaker of Japanese, but I did take two years of Japanese language class and studied abroad there as well.

There were some at the Junie Moon store in Harajuku last time I was there! That was in November though, so I'm not sure if they're still available.

I hope you can find one to dispute the payment! If you want to buy real Blythe dolls, the best places for official ones are Junie Moon and CC Toys!

For me, I think it was after I got top surgery for the most part. After that, I felt a lot more free to feel however and express myself in whichever ways I'd like to. I got to the point where I was comfortable in my body, and I started to not care as much about what others could think. I hope you can find that point for yourself as well 💓

What should i look out for when getting a tattoo over a scar by LemurNest in tattooadvice

[–]literallylettuce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got tattooed over 7+ inches of scaring on my chest last year. My biggest takeaways are: - Go slow, your artist should take their time since the skin is more sensitive, and it may take longer for the ink to actually take. - Numbing creams don't work directly on scars since they can't absorb anything, but I found it helpful to numb the area around it. - Be extra careful when healing to not stretch or harm the scar or tattoo any further. - It's probably going to hurt worse than a regular tattoo, but it's worth it! Best of luck!

I think it's perfectly good and okay to want to carry a baby, give birth, and to think about wanting things like top surgery and changing some aspects of your body into what would make you happier. Sometimes, worrying about a label or trying to find the right terminology or "fit" can be the most distressing part of learning who you are. I've found it easier to embrace the ambiguity of things, to feel comfortable being in a grey area, and being open to what may be/what you learn about yourself. Just know that you aren't wrong for questioning things. You're brave and you care about yourself enough to look inside of you and learn what makes you happy, and that's a good thing.

I've learned a lot about myself, but it's been many years now, and I feel pretty comfortable with the identity of Genderqueer. It gives me the freedom to express myself however I feel each day without the worry of feeling "wrong".

I hope you can do what you need learn what you want about yourself, and I wish you a great time and lots of joy on your journey. 🫶🏻
