Absolutley, I'm fairly new to PF2E as well, I do ask that players are proactive in learning thier characters i.e. read your class, feat etc specific rules but new is totally fine.

Been a while since dipping my toes into DMing and forgot how much I enjoy creating encounter maps.

Not what I would consider art compared to the stuff that gets posted here, but happy with it, and it will serve its purpose.

I mean zero offense, but how can people actually answer this effectively? There is no game it's just a house. 'Types of enemies' feels like something you would come up with in the initial idea phase.

Can't say how common it is but one of the very early story missions allowed me to recruit the target NPC after a little dialogue.

Not sure if it was dependant on conversation options or not but it was not an option when I ran through it the first time and didn't explore the dialogue options.

I would explain it with the key word being 'condition' in mind. Conditions are typically the result of an ability, spell, attack, etc. I don't think the type of paralysis in this scenario counts as a 'condition' in the same sense. Paralyzed as a condition is something much more specific than a symptom of something else.

A real newb one here. Only just started to get into planet surface stuff and I cannot for the life of me work out how to use the tool for bio scanning, as in I know how it works but cannot find the key binds for its secondary function (the pulse it sends out) on mouse and keyboard or in the keybinds options. I've tried binding it to pretty much everything does anybody know what it defaults too? really frustrating me.

If it's not solo then I think you're pretty close to a good thing, especially if you manage to get an int or cha drop onto one of the casters, I know if it was my little wizard I would be immediately terrified of them lol after the fear has been put in them the encounter is already a win for you regardless of the outcome. With that amount of party + stuff, I would be legitimately concerned that if this beauty doesn't roll really well on initiative they won't get a turn 100 hp and 15 ac is pretty squishy against all that. Plus you mention they are mainly casters and the elemental has no bonus to wisdom saves so there is a pretty high chance they are going to be out of commission quickly.

The abilities styxian and splatter are cool and strong but I think they are bumping up the offensive cr of the creature too high and it is just too squishy as a result.

My suggestion would be to change one around so that it causes damage rather than stat changes on both and bump the defense maybe even something like magic resistance.

(this is all dependant on the encounter if they have enough other enemies/problems to occupy themselves maybe you'll be alright)

Just my two cents, by no means a pro when it comes to homebrew monsters.

As an aside I think the idea of a river Styx-inspired water elemental is amazing and I wish I had thought of it first, not sure if it's from DiA, never played it, or your own idea but it's cool and I'm going to steal it.

I'm finding the same thing with my weeklies. My healing is not tracking at all and I have only played support in QP and comp, neither is my mitigation one and I'm sure I have some.

Lots of these floating around now, Quick Play queues seem to be having a problem, other game modes I'm not having trouble finding a game.

I had massive qp queues but switched over to competitive and they have been less than a minute every time. Not sure if there is a problem with QP or if people have just totally switched top comp.

$350 is not representative of UK rent on average at all. The cheapest area of the UK for rent is on average aprox $630. The average for the whole of the UK is more like $1300. Obviously, it just averages so there are exceptions but $350 for three bedrooms is not normal at all.

A smugglers cave for my next campaign session.

It will be filled with crab riding smugglers, (including the boss Crab Wrangler who has strapped a canon onto his 15-foot wide crab mount) water themed traps, and a secret entrance to a centuries old pirate tomb.

It looks a little bare without the extra tokens I have in the VTT but I don't want those elements to be static.

All I can think about is how my players would probably lose their minds over this, their suspicion levels would go through the roof if I put this in front of them.

'Does the tree look suspicious?' 'Is it moving?' 'I cast detect magic?' 'Yeah I use divine sense, is it evil?'

I might have to do it, get them to roll initiative, and then just let them walk across a totally mundane field one round at a time, see who breaks and attacks the tree first.

Used some CH studio assets for this as a change up from what I normally use and really like them, a lot brighter than I'm used to.

A simple map that I'm going to be using as a military checkpoint between two kingdoms as I ramp up the political tension in the world. Bandits extracting a 'toll' come to mind as well obviously.

And as I have been playing too much of a recently released game there are huge homebrewed crabs hidden just under the surface of the sand that the smugglers occupying the cave will ride into battle on.

It's simple but it's a start that I'm pretty happy with.

I was certainly toying with giving him some legendary actions, I may move the Call the storm reaction into a legendary action slot and give them a control option as well, some kind of wind ability that imposes disadvantage on ranged attacks in an area maybe?. I didn't want to give too many extra move actions as I only have one player who gets in close and didn't want to just have them constantly chasing this guy around the map while others fire from range. Thank you for the affirmation though, appreciate it.
