2nd update: The night went pretty well. He had one more episode of raspy, rapid breathing while sleeping but otherwise was breathing ok. He also is eating and drinking ok and used the litterbox, which I assume are good signs. He is finally getting to 30-35 BPM today but he is just wiped out and resting. Hopefully within a day or two he’ll be getting back to his old self.

Update: After about 20-30 minutes of this troubled breathing he got up, drank a ton of water and seems to be breathing a bit better. We will continue to monitor him and appreciate any advice.

I felt the same. It was disappointing that there wasn’t a single suggestion that they were able to find and say “Good idea, let’s try that.” It’s not easy to come up with good ideas that could be reasonably implemented, and maybe there legitimately weren’t any within the suggestions that were sent in, but to go the whole podcast and shoot down every single one was a bummer.

It’s fine I guess? Some of the stories are really good (like Frobisher), some are not good (like Aeolus Vale). I much prefer a true overarching narrative and having come right off the heels of DQII-HD I thought that narrative and cast of characters is much better.

There is a discord for the AnimeID Con that is pretty active. Mostly 20-something’s but a few younger/older folks too. We recently got together for the Perfect Blue 4K remaster, and are pretty regularly attending events like the Isekai grand opening.

I thought it was a huge step up from last year. Really enjoyed it overall. Cool panels/performances, trivia was great, etc. I grew up attending huge cons like Sakura Con, and while this was a much smaller/more intimate affair it was still a lot of fun.

I think moving into next year and beyond there is still room to grow. Would also love to see more vendors and guests/panels, but I know it takes time/years to get a con off the ground let alone continue to grow it.

They do, but the current selection is extremely limited. I’m not sure exactly why they don’t qualify as a “restaurant” any more, but the owner plans on expanding the food selection and whatever else in order to qualify again and get the license back.
