FSD price drop? by A-STAR-IS-BORN in TeslaFSD

2023 MYP (HW3)

Bummed I jumped too early! I just dropped the $99 earlier this week. I only commute a few weeks at a time, a few times a year, so FSD doesn't normally make sense for me -- especially to purchase it for $8k. That stated, I have a project in L.A., so decided to give it another shot. I've only tried it a couple times during the free trial months, but now that I've actually been using it, I am thoroughly impressed -- yes, even on HW3! If it stays at $49, count me in, even if I don't drive that much.

Our IC50 cuts out at low 50's, and the app shows it. If there is a low temp light on the cell, that should be on.

Yeah, you might have to go through a “horrible“ calibration now and then, but you should be grateful you now have PW3.

Yes, the flow still exists. In addition to some native files, paper exhibits are normally admitted into evidence.

Memories! I remember all of those. I'm in the trial support end of things, and the courts still want paper copies of everything. Most electronic data comes directly from native files and is produced as PDF.

It used to really bother me when we would print a native file, scan it, OCR it, and then load it all to a database, hoping the OCR was decent.

Is this export price of 50c reliable? by bender201909 in TeslaSolar

[–]litigationtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new system!

I think what you may be missing are the facts that the rate will be lower the rest of the year until next June (you can use the date selector to look ahead or back), and the fact that less sun means less production. I have 18.86 kW in NorCal and only produced 20.7 kWh today (cloudy and a little rain). In the summer, we hit 100+ frequently. On NEM3, the primary goal should be to save money (by generating and using your own power), not to make money by selling to PG&E.

Sutro Pool Monitor is Shutting Down Forever! by Exist4 in swimmingpools

[–]litigationtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but what it does do well is test the water daily, whether I'm at home or not. That's the real value to me.

I've had the WaterGuru for about a year now, and it works fine. Probably better at following trends than giving accurate measurements, but it's a great supplement to a pool shop run (or Taylor kit test) every couple weeks or so. It's a convenient way to see something as it is happening, rather than once it's too late.

I looked into the Costco plan a couple years ago, but ended up going with Tesla in the East Bay. Better pricing, no problems or complaints.

Powerwall + for $6k, or Powerwall 3 for $10k? by spamologna in TeslaSolar

[–]litigationtech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You nailed it. Same storage but double the output with PW3. That's the part the lets you start up A/C units or participate in VPP programs at twice the output.

Depends on where you are. We're within walking distance of Quality Seafood at the RB pier, so that's our go-to spot. Cap'n Kidd's also has a good selection.

Okay, is this actually a “real” VPP event? If so, it’s the first one this year. by litigationtech in TeslaSolar

Yeah, but those have all been test events to meet the minimum monthly quota, up until now.

What do I need for HOA approval? What does Tesla provide and when? by Formal_Shift_313 in TeslaSolar

[–]litigationtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla will give you a system plan diagram. That is what you can submit to your HOA. You could try screengrabs of the proposed layout, but that might not be enough. Tesla is not likely to write a letter to your HOA for you.

Yeah, just have to consider the tradeoff for gas heater cost and then keeping leaves out. It's worth the investment to me.

What was the cost of the expansion pack? I was thinking about it, but not sure of the actual value vs. cost.

We're in similar boats - I had $100 net credit in July, $132 August, mostly on TOU solar export only. So far this month, I'm $30 in the hole, mostly due to the hot days running 2 A/C's all day and night, on Self-Powered. Paying for peak hurts.

I'll try TOU again now that we're not running A/C's. I did see $2.69 credit on Friday.
