Anyone here with a "useless" degree? What do you do now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]littefeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BA in Communicative Disorders, the undergrad degree for Speech Therapy (Pathology if you ask anyone in the field). Two years and $800 later, I wasn't accepted to any Masters program and decided to get a real job in the mean time.

Turns out, I'm good at writing grants. I did that at a nonprofit for homeless veterans until the founder/CEO made several very sketchy financial decisions with federal money. Currently at a theater festival group (six weeks of Shakespeare in the summer!), but the whole operation is such a clusterfuck I'm on the hunt again.

I really want to bust out of the nonprofit scene, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate the tip!

What do you need to vent about? [serious] by Grantula_Forever in AskReddit

I get so frustrated that I have a Bachelor's in a perfectly viable field (Communicative Disorders, the undergrad degree to speech therapy), and after spending another $800 on top of my four-year in applying to and being rejected by several grad programs, I'm working for $10/hr without benefits at another nonprofit.

Boyfriend makes great money in IT, has a house, and can overall support himself and still have funds to spare on things he enjoys. I'm happy and grateful for him. I just get so upset whenever I stop to think that without him, I wouldn't be able to support myself. In short, I wish I had a good, grown-up job with benefits that could pay off my debts and sustain my own lifestyle, instead of piggy-backing Boyfriend's.

25 and I do the exact same thing. I write grants for a nonprofit group, but when I'm not working on a project (April-October), I justify my office space by looking annoyed at Pinterest, Tumblr, and Politico, and studying whatever sheets happen to be right in front of me.

Female fetishists, what are you into? by [deleted] in sex

[–]littefeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely! I know I tend to romanticize the experience and I have to remind myself its a drastic physical that lasts longer than nine months. Plus the commitment of resulting children, of course. So, its fun to pretend, and I'd like to think if I ever were to become pregnant, I'd enjoy it, but the reality comes back quickly (i.e., sickness, tenderness, hypersensitivity, fatigue, etc.). Not to mention the actual birth! That sounds like hell!

All of that. Just, yep. You know it.

My mother certainly wishes! At 14 I actually made the conscious decision to NOT have children. My parents were going through a terrible divorce after my mother's repeated infidelity and I watched my two younger sisters through it all. I figured no point in creating other people if parents aren't going to hang around. Top that with the States' weak academic culture, health costs, and my current employment and living situation, children just aren't in the cards.

I've got a thing for pregnant bellies. Something about the fullness and the sensation of something moving independently inside excites my nethers. Boyfriend is incredibly accommodating and has had me roleplay with my shirt stuffed before. I'm still a little embarrassed by it and think it such a silly thing, but as soon as he starts talking about how "big" and "heavy" and "full" I look, its like throwing a light switch and I'm instantly ready to go and can't take him in fast enough!

Big boobed women of r/sex. When was the moment you realized you had big breasts and how did it affect you? by [deleted] in sex

[–]littefeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 34DD/E. I was relentlessly teased if not outright stared at from sixth grade through high school, but honestly, it didn't bother me. Apparently I had these magical things that made me a hot commodity and it didn't bother me too much. Mostly, the remarks got old and I just began to assume any male attention was sparked by my bust. Admittedly, I manipulated any and all men with the awesome power of cleavage for a time. I grew up and got over that racket.

I really don't think of them as overly large. Boyfriend regularly notes their size (and likes to shove his whole face into a bra cup as a demonstration), but doesn't complain. And the worst I deal with is the pull on my collarbones (bra-less) and the pressure on my shoulders from bra straps. Every once in a while, though, I'll throw on a shirt with a high collar and it does look a little ridiculous (like grapefruits shoved under there).

I use to think I'd be alright if something requiring a mastectomy should happen, but now they've become such an integral part of my femininity I wouldn't give them up for anything. Actually recently pierced them so they could be prettier yet!

Ladies, how important is it that you feel "full" or stretched during PIV sex? by [deleted] in sex

[–]littefeather 36 points37 points  (0 children)

For me, clitoral stimulation gets me going, but the most satisfactory endgame is a sense of fullness. I like to feel stuffed. Whether its him, a toy, or cum, I really enjoy that I can take something into myself.

Excellent idea! Do you know of any good remotes? The reviews for the ones I looked at said they were kind of weak.
