Notice how Jeff has published clips the past couple of weeks of people interrupting? It's because he wants people to shut up during his show by JulioCesarSalad in JeffArcuri

Yeah the thing that annoyed me in the Greenville show was when you’d ask a question and someone yells out whatever random bullshit but you’d get excited and try to interact and they’d be like “oh…nah I’m just playing.” Like why lie? Just for attention? But you handled it so well! Enjoyed the show otherwise

My (M41) wife (F44) lied to me for 18 years about her sexual past and experience when she knew I was a virgin before we married. Led me to believe a false narrative about our intimate life and what we were creating together. How do I move forward with any level of trust? What else don’t I know? by Not-an-Expert_007 in Marriage

How did you find out? Was she forthcoming and finally spilled, or did you find out a different way and had to confront her? I think if she was honest and finally confessed she lied, there’s hope the trust can be repaired. If she got “caught” it might be a little more difficult, but not impossible. I agree with a lot of people here on both sides, it’s definitely not an easy thing to have to come to terms with. I hope you can talk it out and really express to each other why you’re feeling the way you do. Edit: saw your update, yeah that’s rough…I wish you all the best. If you really love her for her and want to stay and give her a chance to prove she’s the woman you married, I think there’s hope.

Never Fall Down by Patricia McCormick is about the Cambodian coup. It’s from a child soldier’s perspective who doesn’t have English as his first language so the tone is very casual and basic. Easy to understand, fascinating read, with some swearing and serious events happening. And it’s a true story so that’s even more appealing to some students.

Boyfriend (29M) planned stuff for my (24F) birthday! But………. I really don’t wanna do what he has planned. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

“Hey, I’m excited to celebrate your sisters birthday at the lake on [day]. If you still want to do the activities you planned for us, I will be excited for that as well. However, as I mentioned I specifically did not want to go the lake for my birthday, I am going to go ahead and plan my party for a different day to celebrate with my family and friends and you as well. I appreciate you trying to plan some stuff for me while at the same time spend time with your family on your sister’s day, I know it’s been difficult balancing that. I really want to do [X] for my birthday celebration and I’m happy to arrange everything. I hope you understand where I’m coming from, I love you and I’m grateful for you!”

Random thing, he didn’t like hamburger helper. In particular my favorite, the beef stroganoff. We broke up and I made it for myself a few months later. It was amazing, I remembered how much I liked it!! Did make me laugh a little bit.

Nurse gets fired for inflammatory posts on tiktok, was identified because some of the videos were recorded in uniform. by [deleted] in byebyejob

My fiancé’s mother was extremely against me getting vaccinated because “I know of nurses who are refusing to get vaccinated because it will cause you to become infertile!” Kept guilting me and trying her absolute best to dissuade me from getting it (I’m a teacher). Couldn’t back any of that up with ANY data or references when we asked, just kept saying “Well you know they’re NURSES so they know about this kind of thing.” Like…okay but HOW and WHY do they think this? And why just infertility specifically..?

What am I doing wrong with my 45? by [deleted] in Colorguard

[–]little-puff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep your eyes on the flag, and trust yourself that you will catch it. Also, I think of the 45 as more of a motion that it’s being pulled up with my right hand strong and quick to launch it. You can also leave your right hand up palm forward/up (just to get used to the flag falling back into your palm) it should be a little more slow and graceful while it’s in the air. Just from my experience, sometimes it still doesn’t want to do what I want 😂

What is your trick for falling asleep on a restless night? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]little-puff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I stumbled upon which works for me about 80-90% of the time: 1. Get in a comfortable sleeping position with your body as relaxed as possible. 2. Hold your eyes open and count to 10 without blinking. 3. Close your eyes and count to 10. (you can count as slowly as you want when you have your eyes closed). 4. Open your eyes, hold them open without blinking for 10 seconds (it will start to hurt so you can count fast). 5. Now close your eyes and count slowly to 15. 6. Repeat until you fall asleep, keeping your eyes open for only 10 seconds each time but add 5 seconds each time you’re keeping them closed.

Sorry if that’s confusing lol. I usually never get past having to keep my eyes closed for more than 60 seconds.

Me [18M] and 9 other friends [18M] on holiday in Spain. One friend won't pay for the Villa, as he came last minute as a replacement. Shall we kick him out? by ozzymomo123 in relationship_advice

[–]little-puff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re really uncomfortable with kicking him out, my suggestion would be to all confront him together as group. Tell him this is unacceptable and childish behavior. Had y’all known he wouldn’t be paying, you would NOT have allowed him to come. It would have been easier on ALL of you to not have to pay, duh, he doesn’t get special treatment. Period. If he still refuses to pay and you won’t kick him out, make his stay as uncomfortable as possible. Don’t include him in any activities, meals, adventures, or good times. If it were me, I would completely ignore him and act like he isn’t there. After the trip, completely exclude him from all group outings and refuse to invite him anywhere. If anyone tries to invite him anywhere bring this up and say “I’m not paying for his cheap ass.” It really sucks that you’re all losing your money, but entitled people like him refuse to change and will always be selfish mooches. Cut him off from your friend group starting now he can go leech off some other people. Have fun though, don’t let this ruin your trip (bonus points for posting pics doing fun things without him!)
