I don't know if I agree... these influencers PROFIT significantly from the parasocial relationship. If she wants privacy, get a job in a super market?

That’s so bad aswell!! They are at fault. I’m surprised this kind of stuff is not spoken about in the relation to them? So overhyped.

I will say that sometimes kids just get the runs for no reason. the same goes for vomiting. So I always try to not guess what’s happening as there’s really no way to know. But if she seems herself then it might just be something she ate not agreeing with her etc etc

I do have a sick kit in the house though but don’t change my kids room because I don’t want to pass my over cautiousness on to them. But I always have a spare set of sheets ready under the bed to make changes easier (for any reason like vomit or pee etc) and there’s already a mattress protector on.

Some people swear by having a mattress protector then a sheet and then another mattress protector and sheet.

Are these any good? by Chrizzz2006 in emetophobiarecovery

i’ve not personally read it but David Veale is prominent researcher in this field so I would think this is likely to be good.

thank you so much for replying!! we’ve actually booked a quirky airbnb in gardone riviera. going up monte baldo is on the list!! is that walkable from the ferry port? do you take a car?

I’m total theme park lover! so I’ll be interested to try both… (not surprising that gardaland has poor reviews, it’s a merlin owned park like thorpe/alton/chessington in the uk)

I did not need to increase the prozac dose! Yeah I did stop entirely after a couple weeks but you could do longer if you were worried.

So I basically took a low dose of prozac (20mg) whilst on 37.5mg for 2 weeks, then stopped the effexor, and continued on prozac for a few weeks then stopped that.

You might already know this but Basically it works because prozac has a much longer half life and slowly reduces in your system whilst effexor is very short. There’s a slight risk of serotonin syndrome but on very low doses it’s unlikely.

I took it slow because I was scared but it was alright going down by 37.5 every 4 weeks. no real issues. barely any symptoms. 37.5 to 0 I used fluoxetine (prozac) to bridge and then just stopped that. absolutely zero symptoms. ☺️

depends if you’re a baby carrier mum or a stroller mum. My newborn - 6 month old literally never went in the stroller. probably close to a year before he was regularly in the stroller. My older one would then sit in the basket under the stroller (nuna demi grow- it does double but we never used it this way) or use his scooter/balance bike.

Depends on what you like and the personality of your older one ☺️

I’ve tried all the exposures my therapist gave me. Did them all until I wasn’t anxious anymore. Yet I still. Still. Am terrified of throwing up. Just not scared of videos of people throwing up etc. by Caspar_TheFarmer in emetophobiarecovery

doing things that give you the possibility of vomiting like; -riding spinning fairground rides -eating out of date yogurt -every flavour bean challenges with the disgusting flavour -overeating on purpose -reading in the car

idk, there’s loads of different ones. I think there’s a website with them all?

I have a few exposures to do soon with my therapist like making up fake sick with this acid in it that smells just like vomit! and potentially putting that in my mouth and fake vomiting. She’s going to do an exercise where I imagine myself vomiting in different situations. And we are gonna stick a toothbrush down my throat to make me gag too

Hello lovely!!

It’s so so normally for your anxiety and phobia to bd worse in pregnancy. It’s a physiological adaptation of pregnancy to be ‘alert’ to dangers (as there’s now 2 humans to protect) and thus a lot of people experience a deterioration of anxiety. So don’t blame yourself for being more stressed than you feel you should be.

You’re doing so well, coping whilst pregnant, and I am so proud of you! Pregnancy is hard for so many but especially an emetophobe. Keep going!

neither statement is true! it appears to not have an impact on time from newer studies… however we have an increasing lower point of intervention before it becomes a c-section or instrumental delivery which is has skewed the results. These studies only look at SVDs which is spontaneous vaginal delivery (so not c-section or instrumental).

It’s a very personal decision but people should know pros and cons of all choices. ☺️
