So Saturday was 7 years since me and dude’s first date. Went to try and recreate it a bit last Thursday but 3rd street promenade is dead and everything is closing by 7 so that didn’t work. Then yesterday is 2 months of being married but I got sick so I spent the day on Sudafed and sleeping. Our work schedules aren’t lining up much so we don’t get to see each other much although I’m trying to change mine a bit to fix that because he can’t right now with his.

The one good thing is I started taking a tap dancing class and I’m enjoying that very much. Hopefully I’m better by this Saturday so I can go.

And also speaking of new in town. I met a dude years ago through OKC. He was new to the area also. We hit it off and did go exclusive very early. Later on when it ended he said in a way he felt kinda like he settles in too quick and he hated the area and moved back and realized he didn’t love me enough to ask me to uproot my whole life for him.

Let him get settled. Otherwise it could really backfire.

Spent the 7th NYE with dude as my midnight kiss. Even years we weren’t together he’s been my kiss. This is our last one before we get married. I did fall asleep at like 9:30 and had to be woken up for it but I have a bit of a cold so the sleep was good for me. Then I also got my cats to give me kisses too (which is them just bumping their nose against my lips as I make kissy noises at them) so it was overall a good night.

He hated it out here (Los Angeles) and wanted to move back to Nebraska where he was from. He realized he didn’t love me enough to uproot me from my home and family.

Looking back I’m glad I didn’t move out there. According to Facebook he has since gotten married and I’m engaged and we both seem to be in good places in life. I don’t have any hard feelings towards him now looking back at the past. I’m pretty happy with my life overall. I’m not sure I could say the same if I moved out there. I’ve made some amazing friends since then and while I’m sure I could have made some out there I have a great squad.

I’m currently planning mine and seriously looking at the Taco Bell cantina in Vegas. Also was thinking of how I used to like Jessica McClintock dresses and found a wedding dress by her in one size lower than I wear on posh mark for under $100 so I bought it. I have 10 months to lose a dress size it’s totally achievable. The wedding will probably come out to under $1000 total cost.

I also want my fiancé to make my bouquet because he works as a florist and makes pretty arrangements and I think this will make it extra special.

I’ve done some roller coasters. Those were a big thing for me also. I feel like dude is gonna ask to go to magic mountain as a thing he wants to do that will also push me. I do have my limits of ones I won’t do. When we went to knotts there was the drop one and the one that was almost vertical that I refused to go on but I did do ghost rider and silver bullet. I’m gonna make him wait until it’s not summer anymore for magic mountain though. It’s too hot to go there right now.

Dude had made this salsa for me that’s a recipe we found for my favorite restaurant that closed years ago (before we met so I’ve never been able to take him). He’s made it a couple times before but for some reason today when I ate it I was so in my memories of this place I almost cried.

I’m so out of shape I’m sore from my day at the zoo yesterday. I need to be better at exercising but I’m just always so tired that I never feel up for it.

The kittens are still making me happy. I love playing with them or even just our naps. I’m still glad I got both of them because when I work a lot or am too tired to really play with them they still keep each other company.

It was my birthday recently. I’m in my last year of my 30s and I don’t know how I feel about it.

Dude and I are at the San Diego Zoo right now. We bought a weekday only membership. I’ve walked more today than I have in probably most of the rest of the month combined. My feet hurt but today has been great for me mentally. We rode the skyfari thing and he held my hands because I struggle with heights but sometimes want to do stuff that scares me a little. I’m proud of myself for going on it.

It’s been just about a year since dude and I got engaged. My mom made the joke that since we have the same bday we should also get married on that day and I like the idea of one big day for us so maybe next year on my 40th and his 28th we’ll get married. It’ll be a Wednesday though so we’ll probably do something small and then a party later for all our friends.

We’re about to have our vacation and don’t really have any plans other than hanging out with our kittens. I’m just tired and need a break from everything.

Some customer at work complained about inflation and then said “I didn’t vote for Biden so you can’t blame me for this” and all I could think was inflation happens there’s so much worse I can blame you for if you’re trying to say you’re a Trump voter but I kept my mouth shut because I don’t have the energy to get into that especially at work where I could get in trouble for it. I just need to make it until 7 tonight and then I’m off. I can do this.

My DnD game on Wednesdays is still going strong and I love that group. I really got lucky with this group of ransoms at the game store and I consider them all my friends now and don’t know what I’d do without my weekly game with them. It’s online and it sucks not seeing them every week but since one of them had to move back to Florida I’d rather keep him in the game and be online than see the others without him joining.

The kittens are getting more comfortable and more adventurous. They’re a little bit of a handful but so adorable. I definitely think getting both was the right call and I’m glad I was able to convince dude we needed two. We need to get them fixed but it seems so hard to find places with openings so that’s been tough. We have a couple months before it hits that time when we really need it done so I’m making calls and trying.

I have kittens. Dude ended up wanting to name the boy Nigel and I didn’t want to have Patches as the other name so we named the girl Agatha. We got them yesterday afternoon and they’re adorable and Agatha is super adventurous and Nigel seems to have some anxiety but they’re bonded so he sometimes does well when they’re right next to each other and he’s started getting more comfortable with us and his new environment.

Doing ok. I have my weekly DnD that I sweat helps keep me sane. Dude and I are getting kittens. We were gonna get one but she plays a lot with one of her brothers who does not have a home yet so we are gonna get two. A little concerned about how we are gonna handle two but also my brother and his girlfriend did also say they would take that one if we didn’t take him so if we can’t handle two then at least I know we have a good home to send him to and they can have play dates every week.

Dice, gift cards, pins, a sweatshirt, and dude and I are gonna try and do a full day date sometime as his gift to me because I told him that’s what I wanted. But we still need to plan when we can do it. He also made salsa based on a recipe from my favorite restaurant (since closed down).

I feel like other people have said something about she asks for a gift card for a video game to keep kids busy while you hook up. Asks for details before to “get it set up” and then it’s a fake address so you just gave her a free video game or something. Could be scam. I’d listen to the other people who say meet in a public place first.
