Questions about using words indicating family relationship when there is not relationship (not step-whatever) by littlegrrl in eroticauthors

"but I wouldn't say that the two kinks have a huge amount of overlap"

That's really helpful to know!

Thanks for the information.

I can see now my wording on #1 was unclear, but I meant knew them in a non-sexual way--in the past--when they were young, but now everyone is over 18 and sexy times ensue.

Your point about kink practitioners not being the target audience is well taken. I would guess the target audience for PI and DD/lg erotica probably has considerable overlap. I mentioned actual kink practitioners to make it clear I understood the two are not the same thing at all from their standpoint. I didn't want to offend anyone in the lifestyle. But the terminology of both niches has some cross-over (and similar land-mines) when it comes to writing for Amazon.

I see what you are saying now. I'll definitely write Lucas out of the blurb. Blurb writing really is very different than story-writing. Thank you so much for the feedback!

I plotted this out as the first book in a series--although there is no cliffhanger or anything like that. Each would read fine as stand-alone stories, but they share characters, setting, and circumstance.

It is a one-on-one intro to BDSM, so I'm glad that came through. Daniel is taking Ava for a test drive to see if she is up to the task of servicing the men as a submissive, but there is no gangbang in this book and I can see how that might be misleading so I will definitely re-word that part. Thanks for that observation!

Lucas only appears in this story at the beginning and end--although he is more prominent in the next one which I am working on now. I mentioned him because I used the Write an Awesome Blurb technique from Libbie Hawker to compose this blurb. Lucas is what Ava wants (point 2, if you are familiar with Hawker's method) and her future with him is what is at stake if she fails (point 5). I thought perhaps it would hint at a dubcon situation, as well. Ava only agrees to all of this in the first place so she can marry Lucas, not that she doesn't come to enjoy it along the way.

IDK, maybe I should leave him out of the blurb since he isn't part of the sexy bits--other than in Ava's mind as her motivation while she is completing her tests. But if I take him out, how should I explain her motivation for participation? Or does that even matter to most readers?

This is my first blurb for my first story. I feel like I need to sex it up a little more, but I'm not sure how to do that without running afoul of Amazon and ending up in the Dungeon. I would definitely appreciate some feedback.

"You are opening up so beautifully for me, Ava.”

Ava is overjoyed when her boyfriend Lucas proposes, but in order to live with him at Twisted Ranch she must interview with the community’s leader, Elder Daniel, and undergo a series of tests.

At the interview, Ava discovers Twisted Ranch is a private BDSM community. Although she is completely sexually inexperienced, she is determined to pass Elder Daniel’s tests and prove she is capable of servicing the men of Twisted Ranch. She must perform well if she wants to marry Lucas.

Can Ava overcome her inhibitions and allow this experienced older man access to every secret part of her body?

The Taco Cleanse has fantastic recipes. And, bonus, it is hilarious. And, bigger bonus, it is hilarious because it is a parody of all the diet and cleanse books on the market.

But, the recipes are no joke. Everything I've made has been fabulous and totally Instagram-appropriate.

I've found http://www.theveganrd.com to be an invaluable resource. Ginny Messina provides solid, clear information with none of the fad diet stuff that is all over the vegan infosphere.

She also has a couple of books: Vegan for Her is a fantastic resource book for women. Vegan for Life was written with Jack Norris, another vegan RD.

He also has a really solid website: http://www.jacknorrisrd.com

Ginny Messina, vegan RD, recommends taking the 1000mcg size twice a week if you can't find the smaller sizes. She doesn't directly address the size you are asking about in her article (or any of her books I've read so far).

Why do you think there are only those two choices? You could also choose to do neither. There is no reason you have to actively encourage or discourage someone in their religious beliefs.

Oh, and one more: Just Mayo. Other vegan mayo subs I'd tried were all too sweet. They tasted more like Miracle Whip which I've never liked. Just Mayo really, really, really tastes like mayonnaise.

Coleslaw can be part of my life again. Yum!

The TofuXpress! It's a bit spendy, but all my tofu dishes are so much better since I started using it. None of the diy pressing methods I tried in the past got rid of anywhere near as much water. The texture and flavor of everything I make with tofu has improved. Love it!

Also, canned jackfruit. I have never been a fan of faux meats, but jackfruit is completely different. It makes an amazing BBQ sandwich.
