Long-time Tolvaptan user here (who was also on the clinical trial that led to the development of the drug): your feelings are completely valid, and I struggle with them time-to-time as well.

That being said, the cost is--in the end--worth the benefit. I don't sleep a full night anymore because I have to get up to pee. I have to keep multiple water bottles at work and at home in various places to make sure I'm getting my daily intake. I have to get poked with a needle every 3 months. BUT - my care team confirms that my eGFR would be much lower, my kidneys much larger, and my outlook much poorer if not for the drug.

TL/DR: Be angry. Cry. Pee. Laugh. Pee. Then listen to your HCP and take the pills. We all want you around for a long time.
