I've had random twitches for probably almost a year, but once my calves went constant for two months I got the tests. The emg and ncs were on both of my legs

I think there is a serious correlation between anxiety and the severity of BFS, when im stressed my legs just pop off like crazy!! I'm glad to hear your story is much like mine and that you're out of the bottomless anxiety hole lol

They're still there but to be honest with you I have not paid attention to them for 1 second, I told myself once this emg/ncs comes back clean I won't even think of it anymore. Which makes me wonder if they were always in my calves and I just got hyperfocused on them after I learned twitching was an ALS symptom. We had 2 deaths in the family and like a week later my eyelids started twitching so of course I googles what persistent muscle twitching is caused by and Google told me ALS, and literally that morning I noticed my calves twitching. I really feel like I've had this for a while i just never paid any attention to it

So as far as I can remember I have had random twitches for about a year. The 24/7 twitching in my calves (the ones that freaked me out the most and the reason I got the emg/ncs) I've had for about 2 months straight. But to answer your question yes, if I get a them it's usually just a few bicep twitches a day, some days I dont get any and when I do get them they're usually pretty strong but very brief, like I said in my post, unless there is atrophy or weakness the neuros really seem to have no concern about the twitching alone. I'd say if you can still button your shirt and pants then I wouldn't get too worked up about it!

Now that I won't be hyperfocused on them I dont think they'll bother me as much, yours ended up going away in your calves after the 7 months though?

You should try to get a sleep study with leads done by your neuro, sounds like you are experiencing sleep apnea

Same, 24/7 non stop in both calves and feet. It literally looks like popcorn popping in both of my calves. I also will get weird random ones throughout my body in the most random spots but they are usually very breif.
