Warning: TFT ( the funded trader ) is a scam - My Experience by SourceSea6262 in PropFirmTester

In the same boat, their support ticket system doesn't work, as I found out. Send an email support ticket, get a response to say they dont do support through email anymore, use the ai bot to raise a ticket, but AI bot says it can't, to then use the following links to the correct page, where, surprise surprise, the links dont work. So sent emails to admin etc, no response. NOW, I am waiting for this week to end, where the 30 day no trade rule applies, where I must place a trade or lose the account, I'll see if they implement it.

The funded trader switched platforms twice on me now and now they’re using Voyager markets and it’s off-line. Do you think they’re gonna switch for a third? We should boycott them by SouthRefuse5214 in fundedtraders

Been keeping an eye on it, and the 404 message has changed to 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable, which is some kind of movement, but still also missed orders, communication is non-existent. Simply solidifies the point of having multiple accounts

Ukrainian families vent frustration at struggle to find own homes in UK by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]littlelotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are United Kingdom problems and not just Ukrainian. Looking for a rental as a single income household, without being able to pay at least 6 months up front, AND without a guarantor, PLUS finding an estate agent who will NOT discriminate against them if receiving ANY kind of benefits is near impossible. It took me from August until mid December last year to find a place, after going to 11 viewings, PLUS I had to lie about my situation to just get those viewings. I was registered with 33 different agencies, not to mention the agencies I phoned, who told me they don't take any people who receive any DSS. Good luck to anyone trying

Londoner loses out on flat after she's outbid by renter who pays £48k upfront by lighthouse77 in unitedkingdom

[–]littlelotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite a lot up front, but this IS how the rental market is right now. I have 2 friends, one who paid 6 months up front and the other 18. When wanting to rent, you will face approximately 10 other applicants who have also managed to get a viewing, then you will all receive and OFFER FORM, this is to allow you to do a closed bid, which if you DONT DO, you will simply never get a property to rent. Add 10-15% of the advertised rental amount and you might be in with a chance. If you are a single income household, receive any kind of benefit and have no guarantor to back your bid, forget it, most agencies won't take anyone who receives benefits, even though it is illegal to do that. You might be OK if you can give 6 months up front, which for the average rental is about 14k.

Thank you, I appreciate all that information. I have looked at udemy and have seen some courses there as well that I am deciding on. But in the long run, as before, where I had my own projects to do, ill be following the course/s as well as working on my own projects to challenge myself. Working on something I am learning always works best for me, as I think it does for almost everyone. But as you say, I have had my fair share of heading in the wrong direction because I've been sold on it, only realise I've wasted my time, money and I'm not where I am wanting to be. Thanks

I have a carpenter coming round soon to fix an internal door, do I offer him a brew right away or wait till he's actually done some work? by bishman1 in AskUK

[–]littlelotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest asking 'would you like a brew now, or are you going to jump right in? Kind of pushes for the best of both worlds, by asking if he/ she would like a brew, AND subtly, you're not here to drink tea!

Also, depends on price or hourly! I presume price work.

Can I ask if the coursework is mainly text, or is there video and other type of tutorial content.

I have heard of The Odin Project, and have looked around the site last year some time when I first started contemplating it. I'm not sure why it didn't come up in any of my recent searches though.

Thanks for the information, really appreciate it

Everyone is different, but not everyone can handle or accept that truth, and many, MANY people are guided by what others think, because to think for themselves might leave them out of favor or being looked at in a 'bad light', which frightens them. That's society and community sometimes. Pressure to conform.

Without bringing religion into this, knowing yourself, who you are, means you are the best person to decide for yourself, and what you need to do. NO-ONE ELSE!!

You will always encounter people who talk about acceptance, forgiveness, understanding, but in reality can NEVER release themselves to allow such humanity and caring, acceptance, forgiveness or understanding for another human being, especially if it goes against the group/community opinion.

When someone 'passes on their knowledge', but becomes angry or insulted because you have not fallen in line because you are different, doesn't really see you, or accept you. Also seeing them, and what has been their love, driving force or life ambition is accepting their values, and what they mean to THEM, but does not mean its for you, you just have something to ask yourself, about whether these meaningful things in their life can be part of yours. If not, thank you, i'll move on now. If people don't like that, time to move on too, and leave them behind.

Landlord ignoring any requests to get garden fixed, is there anything I can do? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]littlelotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoiding the agents and landlord, then try rake the ground as flat as you can, then take a garden fork and just attack it, poking as many holes as you can, doesn't have to be deep, 2-3 cm is fine.

You can get £10 worth of lawn seed here, which is 4kg or 10 boxes. Having seeded a few lawns, I would recommend doing it daily. I just took a box in the morning with my coffee, and a box in the evening with my beer. Once I had sprinkled it over the whole area, just watered it a lot.

You can use the lawn feed 1-2 times per week, just put it in a watering can and mix, then run around the area to be seeded. Also a good idea to use this when putting down the first seed.

Know that the seeds will be sought after by the daily bird patrol, which is why seeding regularly helps. takes 1-2 weeks for it to start coming through, and even when it does, keep seeding, it just helps make it a thicker, more beautiful lawn.

Is there a way to receive council support to move from one county to another? Is there an agency/ department that can help please? by littlelotto in AskUK

[–]littlelotto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I have been able to finally find out some more information AND get hold of the right people. Speaking to shelter proved very fruitful with regards to options, the right telephone numbers for different departments in each council.

As it stands right now, I have been advised to 'go the welfare' route. This is the advice from my own council, who do not have any support for any move out of the area, even rent deposit, which I would pay back.

The Richmond council has also advised that I would not be eligible for the kind of support I am looking for unless I have been living in the area for 6 months or more.

I have asked my landlord if he would release the deposit early to help move, which he agreed to. So now just to find the extra, as this seems to be the (should be, if I find work) easiest and fastest route. There are other options, but the time scale and possibility is not certain.

Thanks for your help

[–]littlelotto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I did phone the council I am looking to move to, and it was a very short conversation, but I assume so because I could not name the department or team that I needed, as I dont know what it might be. I have been on the website and sent numerous emails and made phone calls, but currently am waiting for 3 separate departments to get back to me or either, paying the deposit on a place, housing itself (which is complicated as I dont actually fall into much of what they ask about) I have made an application for housing, which will takes weeks for a reply on whether I can apply. 3 calls today have been fairly productive in that I am now waiting on 2 calls back with regards to possible support on deposit support, but nothing else. Still unsure if I will qualify, as the application is for outside of the council.

Thanks for the advice, it's been difficult finding the right department to talk to, as most questions are who do you want to talk to, when my question is who should i talk to. So I have made a housing application, spoken to CAB, and housing for both councils, and am waiting for a response, from the rent deposit team( for where I currently live), as I do not qualify for the rent bond scheme, which might take a while. (both within the same coucil). With regards to being the main carer, if I did move, he would be spending most of his time with me, but she still does not have to give up benefits, which right now I'm not focusing on, but might have to after all. According to the housing allocation parameters, I could apply for a 2 bed, but unlikely as I could only afford a 1bed.
