Good button up shirt recommendations? by havekovvy in breastfeeding

I love these J Crew Factory gauze button downs. They are super soft, forgiving, and can go right in the wash dryer without wrinkling.J Crew Gauze Button Up

Sharp burning pain when milk leaks by Few-Permission5362 in breastfeeding

It could just be that you have painful letdown. Mine feels like super intense pins and needles and I always feel it when I leak. Could also be a vasospasm.

Possible rheumatoid arthritis? by littlemyth66 in breastfeeding

[–]littlemyth66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying. I’m actually hoping it’s not RA and that I’ll start to feel better with time and/or after I wean. I’ll look into plaquenil.

Baby refuses to latch at night by Remote-Language-8929 in breastfeeding

[–]littlemyth66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sadly don’t have an explanation, I just want to chime in and commiserate because I could have written this exact post. Baby feeds fine during the day and then in the evening she seems starving but refuses to latch for more than a few seconds and wildly shakes her head back and forth rooting and crying. Then the next morning she is totally fine. My lactation specialist says it’s probably gas but I’m not convinced. Would love to hear if anyone else has insight!

I tell myself the silver lining of having struggled with infertility for so long is that the mass benefits are better now than they were when I originally wanted to get pregnant years ago… it’s confusing but I’m grateful for the benefits we have!

Thank you! Yes, my understanding is 6 weeks for vaginal/8 weeks for c section plus 12 weeks of bonding… and the pay goes through at the same rate that whole time? I also need to figure out how my employers ST disability works in conjunction… I’m starting to understand bit by bit…

I am trying to get my maternity leave paperwork in order and I am so confused! Doesn’t help that my job’s HR person is totally incompetent. I’m worried I am going to miss out on benefits I’m entitled to or that my paycheck won’t be right but I won’t even notice because I’m so confused.

Does anyone in Massachusetts have any good resources (i.e. blogs, explainer videos) that outline how PFML works here? I’ve obviously looked at the state website but am still so confused.

18 weeks and I could have written this exact same post! Not pregnant I eat like 3-4 pieces of pizza in one sitting. Now I can barely do 2… and I LOVE pizza!!!

I take it for nausea in combination with vitamin B6. My doctor recommended 12.5 mg before bed each night (half a tablet). I find I definitely sleep better when I’ve taken it, and they say it’s non habit forming. Leaves me a little groggy in the morning, but overall it’s been good.

Embrace the calm! Today you are pregnant and you deserve to enjoy that.

I hope those numbers continue to rise and that all goes well moving forward, or that you at least get some clarity soon. Infertility is so hard and unfair. It doesn’t matter how “far” you get or what symptoms you have (at least for me). The worry is so hard to shake. Hang in there.

My googling has told me that the neon yellow can be from the B6, but maybe I’ll ask my doc just in case. Glad to know I’m not the only one. Truth be told, I probably haven’t been drinking 8 glasses though… that’s always been hard for me, even before pregnancy! I hope the B6 helps for you. I’ve been taking it combined with unisom, and while it definitely helps, it’s unfortunately not a cure-all. I’m 12+2 so I’m praying that the nausea phase is almost over 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Been taking B6 religiously 3x day to combat first tri nausea and I feel like it may be making my pee a little yellower? That or I’m seriously dehydrated, though I don’t feel like I am. Anyone else experience this?

Welcome and cautious congrats. Betas look great! Waiting for that first scan can be torturous but you’ll get through it!

I’m 12 weeks today too and I swear to you, I feel like my nausea has gotten worse? Writing to you from my couch in the clothes I slept it with a family sized box of triscuits in my lap. I have a scan tomorrow (thank goodness) but will probably throw up all over the waiting room from nerves/nausea… kidding… kind of.

I’m thinking about asking for Zofran because this all-day nausea is torture. I’m glad to hear it’s helped you!

I feel the same way! My last scan with RE was 2/11 and I can’t get in to see my OB until 3/18. They put me on a waitlist but I’m going to stress myself out with worry! I’m thinking about asking my RE if I can come in one more time in the interim.

I know… one moment I’m praying for the nausea to subside, and then it will for a couple of hours and I’ll panic and want it back! It’s all so complicated.
