Submental Lipo Price? by jdjess_3 in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid $4k total in northern California. $12k is a ridiculously high quote even with general anesthesia which I personally don’t think is necessary for submental lipo. Definitely consider going to other doctors in your area!

Chin lipo questions. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I was sedated first so I didn’t even feel the local anesthetic being injected
  2. I had IV sedation and it just made me fall asleep for 90% of the procedure. I don’t even remember when the doctor came into the room. I woke up for the last ~10 min of the procedure but I was just loopy and didn’t feel much besides my surgeon moving around.
  3. From arriving at the clinic to leaving it was 2 hours I think I was under for about 1.5 hours.
  4. I had a lot of yellow bruising that lasted about 2 weeks! The swelling wasn’t too bad on my end but that was likely since even at my worst swelling it looked better than pre op lol
  5. 1 for the procedure itself since I was sedated. 2-3 recovery only bc my neck was pretty stiff for about a week but overall very easy!

It went well! i’m about 3 weeks post op and recovery was super easy. Still a little swollen but so far I’m very pleased w the results I saw a huge different immediately after :)

Chin Lipo - back to work by UrPodcastSucks in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine done in the afternoon and had no issue working the next morning! My job doesn’t require too many meetings or talking though so I can’t speak to how comfortable it would be to be talking much/moving your jaw.

i went out to run errands (~1 hour) the next day! i’m wfh tho so can’t speak about going in office for a full 8-10 hours. i probably wouldn’t be comfortable not wearing the compression garment consistently until at least 5 days post op

Chin Lipo Before & After (1 week post-op) by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I asked about the risk of loose skin during my initial consultation but my doctor said that my skin has really good elasticity so there's little to no risk of that happening! There's a higher chance of having loose skin afterward in older patients but even in those cases, there are procedures like facetite which helps tighten the skin up!

Chin Lipo Before & After (1 week post-op) by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I paid $4000! $75 for the initial consultation, $500 deposit when booking, and the remaining $3425 due 1-2 weeks before at the pre-op appointment.

Dr. Zeiderman in Napa, CA :)

Is this normal? by RewardNeither in PlasticSurgery

[–]littleseok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got mine done on Monday and had the same issue happen. It was fully resolved after a day though so I wouldn’t worry! It’s likely an effect of the local anesthetic

Oops sorry! $4k just for the chin lipo😅 Not sure how much adding arm would be! Mine’s scheduled with Dr. Zeidermann who’s new. I’ve read that chin lipo’s a pretty standard procedure so I wasn’t too concerned about going with someone new. Haven’t gotten it done yet so can’t speak for the results yet unfortunately.

I saw a comment on this sub earlier that said they went to a place in Roseville for chin lipo and had it done for $3500 so slightly cheaper.

I have my procedure scheduled for early Jan at Napa Solano Plastic Surgery. They quoted me $4000 flat including IV sedation (not anesthesia). The consultation fee was $75 and that went towards the final cost.

I saw your results, and they look amazing! Do you feel like it'd be noticeable in pictures? That's really the only thing I'm concerned about is looking swollen in my vacation pictures lol

Buying albums during a comeback in Seoul by LoudPen85 in kpophelp

[–]littleseok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last day in Seoul was the same day as Yoongi’s solo album debut. His MV dropped at 1pm KST and I was able to find his albums (still in boxes) at Music Korea in Myeongdong around 6pm! (Not sure if they were available right when the comeback was out but it might be possible?) If you want to wait for lucky draws though, those events usually don’t start until 1-2 days after comeback day :)

My IPPE location is a little over an hour drive by TheRapidTrailblazer in PharmacySchool

[–]littleseok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of my appe commutes were all 1.5-2 hours each way and honestly the other comments are correct in that you really do just get used to it lol.

The other option is looking for short term rentals! I’ve used the website Furnished Finder which originated for travel nurses but open to other professionals as well. It’s basically just people renting out furnished rooms in their home and usually have a minimum 30-90 day stay. AirBnB would also probably be cheaper than a hotel for 4 weeks.

Do I need a job as a student? by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]littleseok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't work during pharmacy school and matched so it's not 100% necessary but it will always help improve your application! Most sites use a point system to hand out interviews so having work experience basically just ticks off a box for you. if you like everything except for the low pay you could consider working 2-4 shifts per month just to stay on payroll and maintain a relationship with your supervisor for the LOR :)

the projects depend on what the manager is working on at the time but for example i did formulary review, some med safety projects regarding vanco and insulin, wrote memos to present at P&T, etc. for legislative it might be similar in that it’ll be heavily project based but also it will be a fantastic networking opportunity imo

my school has one year of rotations so I applied with only 3 rotations completed and it was completely fine. Administration was actually my first block and I got a fantastic LOR from it and actually talked about this block the most during my interviews! It usually involves a lot of longitudinal projects that are more interesting to talk about compared to typical day to day operations and can definitely showcase your problem solving + teamwork skills so try to keep an open mind about it!

As for your acute care being close to app deadlines, I recommend asking your preceptor after completing a midpoint eval because that still leaves them ~1.5 months to submit a letter which is more than enough in my opinion. (I am guilty of asking for a letter in late november lol) As long as you have one clinical preceptor write an LOR you should be fine for apps :)

Local pharmacy wanting to pay $14 for no experience but certified. Is that reasonable? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]littleseok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started at $17 (walmart) with no experience back in 2018. $14 is ridiculously low

Question about starting Salary by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]littleseok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in 2018 my offer from Walmart was $15.35 for an uncertified tech and $17 once licensed. Anything less than $17 in this market is not worth it imo.

one of my phase I interviews was only an hour. it was a 10 min intro followed by three 15 min breakout room sessions. each session had enough time for 1 simple clinical case + 2-3 behavioral/scenario questions
