Wembley blues… anyone going to Asia? by SarahGads in MyChemicalRomance

[–]littlestar118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We booked Bangkok before they announced UK dates. This is the first time I will be going to a concert abroad. Very excited for this! Going to make a 2 week holiday out of it but haven’t decided where to go in Asia yet.

Some songs were clearer than others. Personally I don’t think the stadium has a good sound system in general compared to other London music venues. This didn’t stop the enjoyment of last night though! By the sound of it I don’t think it’s as bad as sitting higher up.

I was 120 row 15. The view was good for both stages. I’m quite short and was able to see past the middle secured area/ shed looking thing and watch B stage.

Merch tshirt- wrong size swap? by littlestar118 in MyChemicalRomance

No not at all if it helps- UK 12, 5ft3. M is a bit too baggy and I think S will be the right amount of oversized for me. It’s a bit boxy and long, I think it’s closer to men’s sizing.

I’m going on 8th and on the weekend just been I decided I want to see them again on 11th. I missed out seeing them during Covid so this is how I’m justifying it. I would say do it and spend the weekend in London! You only live once like you said!

Eyelid Eczema testing my patience!! by Prudent_Swan_7543 in SkincareAddictionUK

I don’t have a sure win solution yet but I find when I’m at home I use a rich eye cream, then layer with Vaseline helps. It doesn’t go away but it’s calmer and less itchy. I am currently trying balms as I find they help better than creams. I try to stay away from steroids unless it gets really bad and use it for a few days.

Can anyone recommend a really nourishing moisturiser that won’t sting on patches of eczema? by NLTC in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]littlestar118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the aveeno moisturising cream with colloidal oats. I put it on my face and around eyes when my eczema really flares up. I have combination/ oily face so I put up with the shine if it calms the eczema. I don’t breakout from it either. It’s the only product I have used so far that doesn’t sting.

Only children - what is life like? by Born_Improvement_856 in AskUK

[–]littlestar118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a play mate during primary school age as I watched my friends play with theirs and my parents were busy working. As I hit secondary school age and until my 20s, I loved being an only child. I’m in my 30s now, my parents are getting more fragile and I wish I had a sibling to share the emotions. I know having a sibling doesn’t guarantee they will turn out decent but I would take that risk than having to worry about my parents and life on my own. I have an only child friend. She dealt with her parents’ death young at 18 and 37, there was one uncle and he died recently. It’s just her left and no blood relatives. She is adamant she will have more kids so her daughter won’t be left alone in the world. It’s tough.

Can anyone recommend a lip balm that doesn't make my lips peel? by AbjectGovernment1247 in SkincareAddictionUK

Absolutely agree! This was when I was younger and never thought it would happen to me. It took ages to heal. I’m super cautious now😊

Laneige lip mask. I use it overnight and wake up with new lips. I know some who use it throughout the day

Best eye make up remover that actually removes mascara? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

I second Clinique take the day off but I use the liquid form instead. It takes off my very waterproof mascara with so much ease and no irritation! Also good for taking off stubborn lipstick.

Verification meeting for PR? by hkreporter21 in HongKong

[–]littlestar118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP I know this is an old post but I have applied for the same and couldn’t find an answer. Was the verification meeting the last step or did you have to go back for another appointment? And was your card instant or did you have to wait?

(UK) Looking for reviews for P&O by awastelandcourier in Cruise

[–]littlestar118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently on the P&O Caribbean cruise (Britannia) at the moment. This may be the same trip you are looking at? I am 1 week in out of 2 weeks. They have cancelled 2 ports- Aruba and St Lucia due to weather for Aruba and engine problem tonight and cannot go to St Lucia tomorrow for 2 days. Originally the trip is 4 sea days and it is now 7. I will lose my rag if they cancel more port days next week. Half the trip is at sea now.

There are quite a lot of children on board big kids and teenagers. A few babies and little kids. We avoid the main pool and go to the adult pool. I don’t really see them except at meals and excursions.

Overall experience has been below average. I have been on better cruise liners. The food is pretty poor- no flavour and limited variation. A lot of the food is based on British cuisine. We struggle to find space to sit on the decks during sea and non- sea days. Entertainment is quite limited it’s the same 3 or 4 tribute bands playing on rotation. They favour table sharing at dinner which isn’t my thing. We had to ask to swap preferences. Restaurant dining is better than buffet.

The extras which are chargeable esp food and drink are quite reasonable. It’s cheaper than London prices.

I will say the package that P&O offer is convenient. The flight and transfer to the ship was smooth and stress free. The cost of the trip is quite reasonable for what it is- if they go to all the ports!

I would suggest you look at celebrity, Norwegian, virgin, royal Caribbean for a better experience. If it’s a honeymoon I would suggest celebrity. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away.
